Shanny is an absolute D-Bag in real life. Goes back to him banging Craig Janney's wife, then later marrying her, and his personality too. Ask around in inner circles... he is not well liked at all. His performance on ice speaks for itself, I dont question that. Much like I can admire Crosby for his insane skill but hate him for the whiney b*tch that he is

Call me naïve, I9 had no idea Shanny was perceived as a "bad guy".

Guess you didnt watch last series

No easy outs in NHL playoffs anymore

it's a free ride. the Bruins aren't exactly a spectacular team to begin with, and they were missing half their D. Carlo, Krug and McQuaid were all on their top 2 pairings. the fact that senaturds barley scraped by most games hardly signifies a powerhouse team.

I think you'll find it an easy series, over in 4 or 5, over in time for plenty of rest to play the caps or pens.

honestly though, that caps pens series might as well be the Stanley cup final. they're by far the two best teams in the east. and the league for that matter. with letang out though it really is the caps series to lose though.

Wait a min though, it said Keenan Coached Shanny in the early 90s in St. Louis, what? Keenan didn't get to St. Louis till the summer of 94. So in that 1 short season they clashed that much? Cause I know he was first traded briefly to Hartford where he did b!tch & moan he hated it there & then he got dealt to Detroit.

I DIDN'T even get all the way through the list of all those guys, but there's several errors, both factual & spelling. Zach Bodosian?

We look forward to surprising, and disappointing, each and every one of your overblown expectations of advancing over the next week and a half.

You are facing an ex-Ranger with an axe to grind who is pretty good in these playoffs, and a significantly better D-corps than your own whose best member single handedly took out another team playing on one leg. Goaltending and forwards are pretty even, and we have dominated MSG over the last couple of seasons.

Sens in five. If you don't like that, I don't care.

Enjoy your team's losses wherever you may be watching them from.

Personally, unless you have some quota for blogs that you have to put up, I would do a series preview blog, like you normally do, and be done with it. No reason to just make work for yourself.

I think its just that one tool above. I love how his main point over there is that the Rangers offense is mediocre, which even if that is the case, with the way Hank is playing, all we need is 3 or even 2 to get the wins. And also him pointing out the SEns recent success at the Garden & against us, well didn't MONTREAL just win all 3 in the reg season? And how did that work out for them in the 1st round?

I feel like the sens are nowhere near the canadiens. And if it wasn't for 17 seconds, we would've beat Montreal in 5.

A Predators fan over on the main thread predicted the Rangers in 4 or 5.

Boston was not a tough opponent w injuries, I think we had a much more test in our 1st round & it will show coming up here. Very confidant we take this in 6, at most.

I wouldn't say Brassard has an axe to grind. He was treated really well here, the Rangers pretty much saved his career from oblivion in Columbus. He will always be loved here and will always be a Ranger.

If he has a great series it will be because he is a fantastic playoff player. But we are happy with Zibinajed, scored the biggest goal around these parts in two years.

No way, that was a complete fabrication by that guy to try & convince himself. But I will say, there's def more motivation cause its the team that just traded him, but that works both ways. Calling Mika, Mika can you hear us? How about another clutch OT goal in this series?

All, trying to determine how best to do the blogs leading up to Thursday's game. Should I just do one that covers forwards, defense, goalie etc. or separate ones by position or something else? Open to thoughts. No guarantee I follow the suggestions but willing to listen to all.

Actually, none of us are thinking it will be an easy series, regardless of what you have read. Fanbase knows it will be tough, which includes playing against one of if not the most elite d-men in the league on a team with good speed and a solid blue line. But don't let a good story ruin what should be the right narrative.

The 1st round was pretty tame in regards to trolls on this site, of course Sens fans already trolling brings me back to the last series we beat them in, all we need is that Sens Army guy to get thing really going
