Kris Baker is getting weird about Sam Reinhart.

We get it, you like him. Stop acting like his draft status means nothing

- sbroads24

Sabres employee Homer nothing more..

Used to be good now he's a sell-out

You're making me feel bad

Why couldn't you have a back-up plan and put Bernier you're just like Tim Murray

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Even if I had Bernier Bandit would have gotten him regardless.

But now I see how it is. It's savage land here, no playing games being Mr. Nice Guy anymore

Like, Reinhart isn't a bust. But stop defending him as the first forward taken by saying he needs to switch positions and be our 3rd center. That's not helping your point

Nah, no way. Usually I'd say yes but they seriously can't waste 3 years of Jack Eichel and ROR's prime.

They need to go for preseason while adding a piece for the future on D

- sbroads24

So Murray was fired because he tried to rush along the rebuild according to most ........and the next GM needs to rebuild with more patience .... yet we can't waste Jack's time with the club so forget all of that ...... we need to rebuild quickly again.

You have to remember whomever gets the job will be seen as a saint to Sbroads because he didn't trade Myers which at the time, for him, was almost on par of trading Jack now. He loved him THAT much.

This is why I don't agree with the Murray firing ............. he was in the process of doing just that until someone panicked and fired him.

We are 2 years removed from the tank ........it's going to take a few more years to get rid of what we brought in to accomplish that tank. Why anyone thinks we should be contenders 2 years removed from tanking is simply delusional.

Murray got a bad deal IMO ........... you fire a GM once his constructed roster is complete and it sucks ........ not 1/2 through a rebuild.

He did it to himself though.

I'm I'm Pegula, I'm asking, "You spent how much of my money, and where are we? I'm paying another coach that I can't keep, to not coach?"

he made some pretty big promises and set himself on a short time line. That probably had more to do with his firing.

When you tell people you were 1 win a month away from the playoffs and then tell everyone your addition of kulikov is enough to solve the left side and challenge for spot you open yourself up to that.

He either genuinely believed it was good enough, which is bad. Or he didnt but set those expectations to buy time and keep his owner happy, which is bad because cant imagine any owner would stay real happy after that.

1 more win a month.

If the Blackhawks had one more win every two days in the playoffs they would have swept Nashville

He was fired because we have no depth in the organization he wasted countless draft picks
Every single team that he's in charge of is the worst team

You mean to tell me you wouldn't fire this guy if he had 3 of your own companies and they're losing money and one of the worst?

Doesn't matter if Murray "got screwed over". All that matters is that things are done in the best interest of the fans. If we become better because of this, and I think we will be. (frank) Murray. (frank) his feelings.

This may have been what Pegula was getting at with regard to his professionalism and what not.

You cant say poop like this and then not deliver. The leafs were in a playoff spot midway-two thirds through the season and Babcock told people to tone it down and not get carried away.

The best thing Murray ever did was get us Jack Eichel. He had a bevy of picks and prospects that he turned into a few high priced above average players. Our cap/contract situation is pretty brutal compared to where we are in the standings. The Amerks are in awful shape. We have little to no depth on defense and very few high potential players in the system.

Tim Murray busted his nut early and hoped for the best. It didn't work out. He did very little to help the team once his assets were depleted. He tried and failed. Good riddance.

Thank you for getting us Jack Eichel though..

Whatever it really was that got murray canned (there are some legit arguments) I don't agree with it. Can't defend the defense, or the coaching hire, taking reinhart over draisaitl, or whatever timelines werent met. However he didnt get time to rebuild organizational depth. His first draft was weak but the next two were good, and that needs time to happen. He iced a team that on paper without injuries and/or a different coach, should have had a look at the playoffs. I thought he should have gotten another year.

He didn't, and now i am excited to see who they hire and how the new GM navigates the expansion draft, draft, and free agency on short notice. That's about as much as I can be excited about though. If the new gm doesn't hit a home run this offseason (which sounds like many fans want, now including myself) I think it sets us back even further. Would have rather seen murray continue building what he started albeit a slow start.

Also whatever personal shots that get taken at kim pegula for how she got where she is now, are so terribly shortsighted. This coming from someone who believes she shouldn't have any say on personnel decisions if she even has that power. Terry shouldn't be making those decisions alone either, I would be fully on board with a president of hockey ops.

Trade Kane because he has some off ice issues, one specifically hitting close to home for women? No, trade Kane because he scored a ton this season and can return you something to move your team forward. For the record I think it would be stupid to trade kane. Unless you're getting a proven top 2 dman back.
