Un-phucking believable...Ryan Pace just took the heat off of Stan with possibly the worst move in Chicago sports draft history...Pace now 0-3 on first round picks.
Ted Phillips should be canned...and as mentioned you gave up two additional picks in a really deep draft to move up one spot for a guy that went 8-5 as a starter in college. That's some sample size... A guy that Cleveland wanted. You needed bodies.

Blackhawks fans ought to resent the fact that Bowman did not stock enough AHL.veterans to mix with prospects so that Rockford qualified for playoffs.

The prospects, overall, finished at Rockford this season do not excite too much. I have doubt on Luis and Iocopola. Dahlgren and goaltenders so so. Snuggerud ...wait and see. Maybe I am wrong on Luis but he likely will not take a top line NFL job based on what can be projected this moment.

Nonetheless there is post season experience where a pro may be introduced to the pro game. Yet other prospects - who have already been playing AHL- receive a larger role and or can work on whatever they have been told to do. This may (emphasis "may") lead to one less objection from Q using an unprepared or unschooled rookie.

Believe it or not, but the stronger four lines means rolling four lines. May be a few games we win or go to a shootout when we can roll four productive or effective lines.

Some post said that Gilbert disappointed at Note Dame this season. Kryz is a ways away and certainly will need to practice playing defense in the GAL.

Now we hear how Bowman is pursuing another Swedish dman. May this position be the biggest concern long term? Open tryouts now. Maybe if there is a better development coach both Dahlgren and Norell may be ok. Svederg, Gustafsson, probably Polka not the answer.

Name one NHL franchise with worse defensive prospects than the Hawks? If not the worst then one of the 3 worst. Even if one of the off the radar euros turns into a hidden gem.... results of the last 5 years say they better get very serious about a revamp of draft and development strategy at that position. And that does take into account their draft position.

I'm surprised - and glad - that (correctly) it wasn't blown earlier - but on the replay, it looked like it went under Fleury's leg.

Meantime, Fleury was terrific - what a maddening goalie - he can be so good and then so bad for long stretches each.

I don't think it should have been blown dead before it was - Fleury never had control of the puck, it was always out and loose.

Those 2 old rented mules that Trotz has out there on D - Orpik and Shattenkirk can't play against the Pens forwards - way too slow. That Caps D group will never handle the speed of the Pens forwards over a series. And Sullivan is clearly the better bench jockey.

In a way, feel sorry for Ovi. But he"ll get another chance for glory at the World's in Germany, #72 can't wait for him to show up to play for glory for Mother Russia.

They have the best 2 forwards in the game in Crosby and Malkin, a great coach and a sniper who actually snipes (unlike #72). What's not to like about the Pens - they play exciting hockey.

Holtby in his career has not been able to make that crucial save to steal or win the big game is all im saying. Soft rebound on goal 2 and yes it was Orpik's ultimate fault on the gwg but you either make the game winning saves or you don't and Holtby has not in the Playoffs so far in his career. Agreed on the Pens team speed but if the Zebras let the WWE rules continue maybe the Caps can obstruct their way to a 7 game series win. I'm just saying Holtby needs to be better or it won't even get to 6 games

Stan needs to bring back Stalberg. He's been playing strong for the Sens, lots of speed and solid on the PK.
