Is Bowman trying to get fired????
- walleyeb1

Eh. What's the big deal? Depth signing for AHL. Routine non-event. Every move (especially now when the playoffs are still going) doesn't need to be a home run sure fire top line second coming of Gretzky. Teams need these kinds of players too. Maybe the scouts see something we don't or can't. I really can't get worked up about it or slam Stan for it.

That looked real ugly...best wishes for the kid long recovery for sure...yikes...

Latest McD rant in the trib this morning...hilarious...he stated that Joel and Stan would pick the new assistant coach together and that Q would be involved.

McD trying to keep the Hawks relevant until the draft...wonder what kind of ratings drop off there was for the NHL last night without the Hawks in there.

Beginning to think so...

He was never McD's guy and ScoBow has too much influence in the org, however, 13 cups is a good reason to listen.

The Blues scored as many goals vs. Pekka Rinne in 50 minutes as the #Blackhawks did in four games.

well, the game plan was simple, keep it close and hope for some lucky bounces. What do you expect when we dress 7 dman for a pivotal game 4 when we scored one even strength goal (by the 4th line) and 1 pp goal in 3 games.

Coach Q is a genius. His game plan, more Kane. lol. How did that work out?
Q was clearly outcoached and Hawks game plan with the current team has very little room for error and really not effective for playoffs unless they get a few bounces and calls.

Predators..... How was this team an 8 seed??
- EnzoD

Agreed. What's the point of a regular season when you can coast, do just enough to make playoffs, then explode in playoffs? It's kind of crappy. Baseball and Football you have to earn the playoffs by doing well in regular season. Hockey and basketball allow half of their teams in the playoffs. Cut it from 16 to 8 and then you will see teams having to play hard all season and not just be good enough to get in playoffs and then turn it on. It's a dumb system.

I could not agree more. Q's response to everything is the line blender and change lines when away once we win the faceoff - oops, Vermette now plays for the Ducks. How about an actual strategy next time (including a complete makeover for the PK and PP)? He fooled me this year with all the playing time afforded to the rookies.

Done!

Although I serious doubt Wilson would ever want to return to Chicago.

He did not have an opportunity to select one as StanBo was on the inside track and in place when Dale was shipped out...

It almost worked even though Nashville dominated a majority of the play. 1-0 loss in game 1, ot loss in game 2, and basically 1-0 in game 3 until the 2nd goal dropped. Another bad bounce as the puck got stuck in Crawford's gear. But just a terrible play by a tired Panerin (kane and panerin on the ice for 1min30secs) and Seabrook somehow dropped his stick.

We all thought the Beloved Blackhawks were slightly above average and I do clearly recall many GIF's of the "switch" just prior to the Preds beatdown. I agree with your point however, not every team can flip the switch year after year.

While I am typing this I have Luthers voice stuck in my mind coming out of Pekka's mask, "Blackhawks, come out to playeay . . ."

Hasn't McD been with the Hawks since 2007? Yeah, Stan was there already, but McD had at least a year to figure it out before Tallon left.

That is a bit of a simplistic view. Changing the lines is the most visible change that he likes to make, but the coaches do more than that in terms of in game adjustments. Q wouldn't be where he is today if that was all he did.

That gets into the gray area after Bill passed, while Peter was briefly in charge and Pully still calling Hockey shots.

I'm hoping that his long absence is the result of him corroborating numerous rumors coming out of Madison Ave, leading to an epic blog.

Rockford? Why not Chicago? I'm sure Q's time is limited now.
