Blows showing moxie...getting killed in dot, given up 2 PP goals yet still find a way to get 3 goals. These two teams should be playing, more impressed with either than Chicago or Minnesota at this point.

wild outstated the blues but blues outstated them in the most imp category: goals

allen was excellent vs the wild

Get Toews a left wing and watch him have a rebound season.

I am sure the Captian wil accept some of the blame. My point Is that what happened is embarrassing, no your not gonna win every year, but some of these guys got too comfortable around here.
And as a fan if I forked out hard earned money to take my family on a trip to see any of tThe last 3road games were these guys laid a pile of road apples I'd be pissed.
On a personal level, I happily took back that 8 K and change refund for the unplayed games last week. At about 12K a season and another 8 for the playoffs we expect more of an effort.
So I am of the mind set, F em,I hope Bowman trades a couple of them ,wake these guys up. There are teams out there that will pony up a nice return for what Bowman puts out there depending on their needs.
Lastly regarding Nick Schmaltz, a friend of mines neighbor was a coach of Nick Schmaltz right before he entered college. He basically said , Kid has skill, but when it comes to playoff type hockey and intensity, the kid has zero heart, zero balls , zero intensity, not in his DNA,not in his make up and that Bowman should unload him while his value and potential is maybe looked at somewhat high. Hopefully Bowman will unload him in a significant deal to fill a need this summer.
Since the great schmaltz is thought of somewhat highly, think the Blues trade us Parayko straight up ????, not a chance!!

How many times are they going to mention the predators swept the Blackhawks in this series? I've counted 6 so far. This is getting ridiculous.

I can't stand Subban. Errogant franking cheap shot. Very talented hockey player but he's a (frank)ing punk.

Too bad about Schmaltz. Lack of effort to match the skill was the knock on him, if I recall correctly Stan's comments while Schmaltz was still in college. Thought that after the Hawks made it clear they'd need to see more effort, he had a strong Frozen Four. Then, after a stint in Rockford, seemed like a different player.

Wellll, he's not a Colton Parayko type which I would love, but theKid is as big as Campbell and if he has the wheels they say he does, Hmmmm? More perplexing to me is Kempny, I wonder if the Hawks are gonna make nice and promise this kid more playing time if he signs or if his agent is telling Bowman were gonna look around.
I am betting heavy that 1or2 of Seabrooke, Keith or even Hjalmersson is dealt over the summer as part of a deal to get that top flight LW . Campbell and the Pizzaman are goners so they'll be opportunities on the blue line come Sept.
Not even gonna begin to speculate on the forwards, but everyone except 19&88 should be in play withBowman not being afraid to part with Any of his kids whom he claimed were not being dealt at the deadline, if there is a deal to be had for a kid like Duchene, Hall, Landeskog type ect. And it's gonna cost one of Schmaltz, Hartman, Panerin ect. Bowman will pull the trigger. The team basically bent him over and broke one off in his can with that pathetic end to the season.

- wonthecup10

I like your rationalization. Not saying it plays out exactly your way. To save facevBowman needs a competitive team. Everyone is so wortied id they hsve enough good dmen. In one off season meaning summertime, i do not believe two of our top three dmen are moved

That looked real ugly...best wishes for the kid long recovery for sure...yikes...

Latest McD rant in the trib this morning...hilarious...he stated that Joel and Stan would pick the new assistant coach together and that Q would be involved.

McD trying to keep the Hawks relevant until the draft...wonder what kind of ratings drop off there was for the NHL last night without the Hawks in there.

Something going on that I haven't seen since I have been here...man is he clueless abut hockey...what is going on is intensity has ratcheted up and the best players on the playoff teams are competing every shift to be better than the other teams best players. Happens every spring and is fun to watch.

His eccentric attitude ran him out of Montreal. I predict his crap will wear thin in Nashville just as soon as they are exposed in the playoffs - that day is coming and please do not take this as sour cherries for the last series, the Hawks sucked and the Preds out-skated them in all facets.

I read it as he is seeing his team fail to step up and compete as you describe for the first time since he has been with the Hawks. Could also mean lots of things behind the scenes, too, but that was how I read it.

Also expect the Chicago Blackhawks to sign European forward David Kampf to a 2 year entry level contract.

I recall the team being connected to him a month ago.

allowed 4 goals in 15 periods...

Stick with your blows in seven, a couple of weak goals let in by Allen. Blues are going to break through that trap and the dam is going to burst.

This season with Piráti Chomutov, Kampf recorded 15 goals and 16 assists in 52 games. That’s not great, but it’s a big improvement from the year before, when he put up just nine goals and four assists in 42 games. Kampf was more productive with the Czech U-20 team, posting 36 points in 35 games.

waste of time . . . less than PPG in a league several tiers down from AHL...

Beginning to think so...

He was never McD's guy and ScoBow has too much influence in the org, however, 13 cups is a good reason to listen.
