Joel Quenneville needed to be a Jack Adams finalist. That team had a ton of holes throughout and he did a great job of piecing it together.

Tough to argue with the others though. Mike Babcock, Sergei Bobrovsky and Connor McDavid all did wonders coaching up their respective teams.

Q did take what appeared to be a bunch of broken down veterans and green rookies to the top of the Western Conference. If there was any year he did earn consideration, this was it.

I had a good 1st round with predictions but not a strong feel here....I do like the Ducks a lot.

Couple years ago the Ducks won 8 of their first 9 playoff games and then died in the Conference Finals. Even tho I'm backing the Oil I think the Ducks take them out in 5, 6 games max.

Blues and Preds - might be more entertaining that expected. Could get very rough. Preds are better, should win in 6.

Rangers should be able to squeak past Ottawa.

Pens and Caps - sticking with Pittsburgh because I know how much Malkin and Crosby like to stick it to Ovi. Trotz has to be disappointed in how they played vs the Leafs. Their defence isn't that good. But if the Caps can't do it this year, tear it down and start again.
