No it's not and that's not going to help HRR and the cap any time soon.

Again, a bad estimate by a few organizations assuming huge cap increases, and Bettman can pimp his plethora of outdoor games to help bump up HRR but looking at a very stagnant cap....and when you have LOTS of money tied up to a few guys.......D-O-O-M

I realize this is mostly jest, but I wonder if Q had any knowledge this was coming before it happened. I'm thinking Bowman didn't want to get into it with Q so he just went ahead with it.

The McD PR machine will be in full force. The Cubs and NFL draft have now moved ahead of the Hawks in scope of the sports news in the city, plus the Sox aren;t half bad so far.

McD/StanBo will have some news story EVERY FEW DAYS from now til the draft, so at least someone in the city is talking about Hockey. He wants to be Big Dog again - but maybe the Cubs traded the Blackhawks soul to the devil for their world series rings?

Wherever #4 ends up next year, for his own sake, I hope he gets his minutes on the other side of his pairing...he is significantly better there.
I must say, looking in retrospect, I wish both Kempny and Forsling would have gotten a LOT more minutes than they did. Looks like they will in 17/18....

2 conclusions:

1. Bowman is blaming coaching for the Hawks down fall, and he wouldn't be incorrect, but it's not 100% strickly coaching. He also may feel there was more polish on some of these AHL guys that came up or never happened.......like McNeil. However, what AHL hog has gone on to bigger or better things? Cna't think of one.

2. Q told Bowman he wasn't happy with the polish the kids had coming up and in a conceding way boots Dent to get a fresh face in there and help Q with more READY kids when they come up.

Either way....Bowman is on the war path....I would expect/hope a front office guy goes next.....like a McIssac or somebody in Bowman's corner....that may need to come from McEgo, if they can pull away from his podium doing his mock press conferences.........

You can bet Rocky won't invite that threesome aboard the good yacht Blackhawk for drinks and an open dialogue.

Maybe we will see a JJ dialogue about this non supermarket check out counter tabloid....er...um hockeybuzz querry into the inner minds and thoughts of our peerless Blackhawk management team.

Personally it seems obvious due to economics they keep trending towards younger and hopefully bigger, meaner, rough and tumble. Not a whole squad but a couple add ons like that to keep up with the league. Anyone have a lucky four leaf clover to wish upon

Looks like Dent saw his coaching credientials tanking each time a trade was made and had enough.......and did the big NO-NO and blasted the Hawks publicly and then privately to his players.......somebody got that text back to the hawks and sure Bowman lost his mind.

Oh well.....seems like a LOT of drama surrounding this team right now.....

I'm not quite sure what's going on right now, all I know is a lot of stuff being leaked to the press and I'm not sure it's all coming from the Bowman camp.

I just read that this devaluation of the Canadian dollar is a result of the timber tariff that Trump just imposed and that there might be a dairy tariff next. So, I guess that next year we can blame our lack of a left wing for Toews on Trump.

Horse Hockey - the CAN has run 0.73-0.78 for a long time now.

Kempny and Panik need new deals. Kempny (with some work) can easily be a top 4 D. 3/4 but still top 4. Q did not play him enough and 6 should have played all of game 4 and 51/27 should have sat in row 15. Teams needs tweaks and both 6 and 14 are the type of guys we need going forward. Physical/athletic and skilled.

Dont know who gets moved or how they move anyone with these contracts, but we know this. It will be a long summer and this group will have this 4-0 a$$ whooping to keep them company. Pride should kick in. Pride to really hit the weights/training to come back hungry. To come back wanting to hit someone. To clear the crease. As 2 showed us, the Hawks can hit. Time for the rest of them to wake up. What they saw against the Preds??? They will see that 82 more times next year. Or at least until they show they can beat that set up.

I'd argue that 4-0 will diminish o ver the summer, be focal point for part of T/C and go completely away after the first puck drops and may become only a foot note in 18 Playoffs if they qualify

Id hang a big 4-0 banner in the locker room. Then tell the team they can take it down when they win their next playoff series. Its not that they lost, its how they lost. A total WTF effort from a team of war hardened vets with 3 Cups. Zero excuse. I know some were injured, who isnt this time of year. But that was 4 games of total unplugged hockey.

Q? Stan? Toews and Co.?? Learn. Come back hungry. Come back friggin PO'd.

I think i can go on this blog site and wish Trump goes to a Wash Caps game, where he is booed mercilessly. A brigade of visiting Maple Leaf fans could be really obnoxious and so loud that Trump hears them in his private suite. Edit/note: i learned during term limit action in the 1990's that no one wants to admit they live in DC, so visiting fans have to boo.

Since there is skepticism a wall is ever built (so he can stumble off during picture taking), i guess the closest blunt object to bruise him would not be verbal but a poorly aimed D Keith slapshot.
