yes the offense has been the main concern all season. The one piece that was brought in actually helped but the rest was a mess.
when it get sto the point where you're inserting Brian Flynn in the lineup to get more offense than you get from Mitchell you know you're in a world of trouble.
Beaulieu was a mess, Jordie Benn turned back into Jordie Benn and Petry had a decent series but I think he took shooting lessons from Craig RIvet "aim for the oopponent's shinpads" - dt99999
I wouldn't be as concerned if the year had a bunch of promising prospects ready to come into the line up and produce. That doesn't appear to be the case. |

I just didn't see a ton of positives in this series aside from Lehkonen stepping up. I think Gallagher had a good series but no point production. Radulove looked good but who knows if he's back.
Price played well but I still think he was outplayed by Lundqvist.
defense was a mess under a strong forecheck.
forwards didn't score - dt99999
So to summarize Habs had a great season and we had fun watching them.. |

Yes and this is why we wish it could have continued.

Radulov is going to the highest bidder. Not sure if the Habs have the cap space if they want to resign price and patches. - cburgess
why would they want to resign patches? |

My guess ie because without his goals in the regular season we don't get to see him bust out in the playoffs each spring. |

Original quote was don't know if habs want to resign Radulov at the expense of Pacioretty's new contract.
I'd say pay Radulov and trade Pacioretty for another offensive minded player. |

teams should be able to afford two offensive minded players.
the big deciding factor here is Price. you have to resign him because a) he's very good and b) you get nowhere close in terms of a return for a goalie compared to what he brings to the team. The issue is how much of your cap space you're going to give him.
I don't see a ton of one-on-one forward for forward trades going on. Habs don't have much else to give, not a lot of prospects so the draft picks are valuable. |

Lindgren bro, cheaper and hasn't proven yet that he isn't as good in the playoffs |

apparently he will show more CHaracter than Price so yes it's a win-win |

I actually think that Montreal and Vancouver make great trading partners. I think Montreal could get the Sedin twins for a package containing Galcehenyuk. |

They could afford 2 offensive players if they weren't paying plekanek 6 mil a season to play on the 3rd line. |

Same amount of stolen nhl playoff games this year. He also had the same amount of goals as pacioretty and galchenyuk, so they won't need them either |

This is one time where I actually believe the player wants to stay on the team. I think Montreal signs him for like 4 or 5 at 5.5 |

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if that happened, but I'd bet against that happening. |

Gotta love "Moneyball Marc's" definition of CHaracter!! I wonder if it's possible to have CHaracter AND offensive capabilities at the same time??
Bargain bin Bergevin might wanna try a different dollar store waiver wire next year??
LOL!! What a bunch of pathetic, sacless, scared losers!!
This was getting tiresome 10 years ago, now it's just plain sad and even more obvious. |
