I'd put patches on the market and trade whatever else to acquire a top line centre. I like danault but he is a 3rd line centre idealy - cburgess
the problem I have with putting Patch on the market is that they can't score goals, and you would trade their only player who can!
I'd rather trade Price for a center. but that's just me. |

It depends on the draft year. Hawks got teows at 3rd overall. Habs got Galchenyuk. - cburgess

Like you said last time we spoke, our development sucks. We rushed Galchenyuk, the kid was better in 2014 vs the rangers than he was in this series. Personally I wanted them to get Forsberg at the time, glad to see I wasn't wrong. And Kopitar over Price back in the day |

I'd have to see the stats, but it seems he cant score in the playoffs. I couldn't give a poop really what he does in the regular season. |

I agree with the bad development. Habs can't develop a good player to save their lives now. |

meh. Kane didn't score either and Hawks are out.
it just seems odd to trade your best scorer when you're looking to improve your offense |

Well, you don't trade him for peanuts. You ask for a good player back obviosly. Like go to the NYI and say patches and 2 1st rd picks for taveres. |

we'll see. MB sure has another big summer ahead of him. if not, it could be his last one as GM of the bleu-blanc-rouge imo |

You still haven't countered my point. Who's going in net if trading Price, but not rebuilding? |

also true, nothing easier than to find a goalie.
Habs got Dubnik for peanuts a few years back and let him go.
My point is that with a better team up front, they won't rely as much on the goalie, and they will be much more entertaining to watch.
as for their winning percentage in the playoffs, tell me what the current strategie (of having the best goalie in the world) provided as results? could they do worst? |

As I mentioned in my other post, he has almost no NHL experience and even if he does pan out it'll well outside this teams "cup window". |
