2 things

1) Watching Montreal respond to adversity in this series was pathetic, particularly the last 3 games. They absolutely folded the tent the second NY got its Richard up. And that wasn't easy on Proce
2) But... putting Price's numbers aside, when NY absolutely needed goals in this series... how difficult was it for them to score? I think it's wonderful that Price was able to make a lot of saves while Montreal played from behind but NY never really struggled for the goals they needed. Price wasn't the reason they lost. He wasn't even one of the main reasons they lost. But he played like a $5-$6 million goalie. Not sure you pay $10-$11 million for what he just provided.

that's where I disagree. they have Price who could bring help upfront. let Lindgren play
- fidopro

Ok agree on the first point, maybe 2 top 6 forwards is plausible. What are you expecting from Lindgren? Price 2.0? He's barely played a game in the NHL and you expect him to fill in as a starter immediately at 23? Even if he does pan out (possible, but far from certain), he will not be ready until his late 20s like just about every single goalie including Price.

who says he would make 10-11M? best paid goalie makes 7.8M if I'm not mistaken.
did he won a cup? (or 3 like Toews and Kane)
that being said, I agree with you

I'm sure he will want 8x8. if you don't think he is worth it you have to trade him this summer.

Bergevin would never do it, Molson has to fire him for sure. Bergevin won't be part of the rebuid not unless Molson greenlights it.

Everyone knew that was a good trade for this year and probably next. Lets have this convo in 5 years when weber is getting 7.8 million to play on the 2nd or 3rd pairing.

As (frank)ing miserable as this bunch is, I'm thankful that Claude Julien is our coach.
