Tampering
JV pick though most of us wanted him
OJ pick over Tkachuk even though we don't know the results yet.
Not moving Hamhuis Miller or Vbata for picks
Losing Tryamkin Forsling for nothing
Not firing WD earlier.

Their list is growing. They are sitting on a fence. They have done a lot of good but they have done equally as bad.

- ok, I give you that one
- kind of defeats your argument
- Can't judge that one yet, if he's a top 2 dman then it was the right pick
- their hands were completely tied, he gave them a list of teams that wouldn't want him
- if it wasn't for them selling and convincing him to come over in the first place he wouldn't have been hear to lose
- AGREED!!!!

A lot of it stems on how JB's scouting and drafting turns out. Bottom line is that it's just to early to tell. If JV steps in next year and Boeser pulls a Horvat…JB is safe for a bit. Plus if we get lucky with an NHL-ready pick this year it will be a wait and see attitude.
- LordHumungous

I am saying this with a neutral opinion , but Benning only has one player in three drafts currently on the roster and he has played less than 10 games . In three years with two top ten draft picks and four first round draft picks , that is not a great record.

That Is why Benning may give a lot of rope to OJ this year. Canucks can only sell hope right now because you can't sell a bad roster. Benning has also said that he feels a few of this years top picks are NHL ready. So if we are drafting top 3 I would think they will try to push the new guy into the roster also.

Don't shoot the messenger but I would not be surprised to see Boeser Goldobin OJ and the new guy on the NHL team this year.

I am just pointing out what the fan base says and the media. I am on the fence with Benning but the rope is getting short.

I just don't like Linden at all as a Pres. No grey area there for me.

Remember when the Crowd chanted Fire AV ? When they let him go and brought in Torts and failed again the chants at the end of next year were Fire Gillis. A few weeks later he was let go.

Here we go again. Coach has been fired and the target moves to the GM. This will probably be Benning last year unless some sort of miracle happens.

The only thing that will save him is a successful year and make the playoffs

Or a tear down with a rebuild . Fans have been calling for a rebuild for years but Canucks wanted a retool .

Book it . Bennings last year

I'm really on the fence about Linden only because of his relationship with the Sedins. When your in management you need to make tough decisions. The way he talks about them, they can play here as long as they want. That's not a leader Van needs.

He will get you a high draft pick.

If I was Green I would say no thanks. He is being set up to fail. He will be the next Dallas Eakins

I need to ask, what is it that JB and TL have done that should result in their firing? Not started the rebuild earlier? Erickson signing? Having to answer to their boss?

They have almost completely turned this roster over in 3 yrs, minus the Sedins, Edler, and Tanev. They have added young depth with potential that wasn't here before. They have made some nice trades to add to the depth.

I am confused why ppl think they need to go only after 3 yrs. What happens if they do, then what? Bring another Pres and GM and start all over? Yay for us, let's be in consistent rebuild like the Oilers!

Hearing that Drouin is back up on the trade block. That is someone I would consider moving the first round pick for. 22 Years old Left Wing same numbers as Bo.

If I thought there is someone as good as him this year I would draft but I don't see anyone that skilled.

Nico is more skilled in my opinion. We also have enough little guys. Not to mention he is border line too old

He is 22 and way better than Sven or Granlund as a top 6 . It also makes Sven movable .

Patience old friend...we need to build for 5 years from now. There will be quite a few players in this draft that will be better than Drouin. JB needs to find them

They need cap space . They have people that need new contracts. They have 13 players signed and 17 mil in cap space . Those good young players want the money now

I think he'll get two years from here to show some progress. I'm not overly worried about TL as we need to see if FA is going to let JB and TL do what they need to do. If FA continues to meddle…we will circle the drain for another 6 years. If they allow JB to move Edler and Tanev out and NOT resign the Sedins…thing will look good.

I get a chuckle out of our crowd here that are worried if we move Tanev Edler. No one in particular but you are either on the side we can't live without them or the side get rid of the bums. I find Edler much like Hamhuis last year , good riddance .

I look at TO's D matching up against one of the best teams in the league for Offence. They have kept the Caps in check with Reilly Gardiner Pollak Hunwick Marincin and Zaitsev. Far from an all star cast.
