Feet are gross as (frank), but it's Megan Fox, I'd be much more worried about spirochetes than thumb fingers.

Im actually pretty excited/anxious to hear what type of draft strategy/history our new GM will have. I may be in the minority but i was not a fan of how Murray drafted(and his scouts). the 2014 draft (2nd round) was enough evidence for me that we needed a different eye in the draft. Also it would be nice to have a GM that would take a chance on a high potential Russian from time to time.

THANK YOU!!!

the 2nd round of 2014 was a freaking joke!
2015 & 2016 were fine though imo

I'm fine in moving away from Murray, but was 2014 draft really run by Kevin Dineen (sp?)? That was Murray's first here right?
I get the 2nd guessing on those, but if you hold his feet to the fire on them, then you have to give him equal credit for subsequent years picks...which we won't know for sure for a couple more years, but indications are they are solid. Point is, the jury is still out.

T-pegs needs to know focus all his energies on the Sabres to getting the RIGHT guys in here as quickly as possible. I, like many of you think a Czar of Ops with a highly experienced professional and then a progressive GM under him who comes from a good organization with track record of success is imperative. Dudley...please say yes this time!

my french aint perfect but RDS seems to think Norm Maciver is the top choice to replace TM.

Of course worth pointing out that in our last gm search this was said about benning for a while before TM was hired.

Murray didn't trade for/sign the right veteran players to conpliment the rebuild and or mentor the youth we got through the draft, While neglecting defense at the same time. Having one competent defensemen on your roster playing the kind of minutes he did throughout the season is a joke.

While I agree to your first sentence completely, the coach sure as shiit didn't get the most out of the team he had. McCabe looked very good at times, and even Bogo/Kuli had been serviceable (if not decent) players in the past, just not under DD. Falk, Fedun, Austin all had their moments and may be contributers down the road.

But, yeah the amount of minutes Risto was played the last 2 years (ROR too) is just terrible coaching.

Cleaning house now was the best thing that could have happened, assuming the new regime has a clue.

Bogo and kuli were serviceable when there were 4 guys ahead of them on the depth chart. I dont put the minutes on bylsma, thats strictly on murray.

Burke 2.0 put bylsma in a position where he had no choice but to make head scratching decisions because they were the the lesser of two evils. Like foligno getting top 6 minutes or playing ristolainen to a point where they needed to have an oxygen tank on the bench just incase.

The main reason I won't give Ristolainen any grief is it's absolutely amazing with how many minutes that he has played that he hasn't missed any time due to injuries.

His commitment is without question.

might be Jeff Crisp, its not a big draft so sending the head scout probably isnt a bad idea.

Excellent and intelligent observation! Here are the stark, unpleasant facts that the owner had to examine. Sabres finished unimproved at 25 of 30 teams in the NHL. The Rochester Americans finished 25 out of 30 teams in the AHL...and their farm club? The Elmira Jackals finished 30 out of 30 teams in the ECHL! Terry may not know the game within the game of managing pro sports teams, but he knows what constructing a good pipeline is...Murray was failing, our scouts were failing. However painful, he made the right call for the future. The lack of bringing in NHL level talent coupled with some dubious trades and a clueless coach...sealed his fate. We gave away way too much and compromised the organizations future and soul for headcases like Lehner and Kane. At least Tim's uncle made out in his dealings...and Ottawa is in the playoffs too. Like it or not we are still at square one for the next 2-3 years. Do we need a "hockey czar"? Not necessarily if the GM is super competent...Dudley might be good...Lombardi...probably...not sure on others out there. People are mentioning Pierre McQuire....reallly?!

Lehner is a headcase?? No refuting the records of the clubs. and I'm glad the coach is gone, I don't have a problem with most of the trades as we have the best players out of all of them (so far) but I also think TM did some good work drafting but we wont know that for 2-4 more years.
My biggest worry that we don't have an owner that can pick the right guy... the track record is NOT good. Hopefully he has learned to get some smart NHL advisers and get it right this time, but until he does I'm worried he'll fail yet again (but I pray I'm wrong about that).
