For those asking, yes I asked Brandon Prust about his relationship with Derek Stepan after the broken jaw in 2014 ECF.

Prust said they spoke during the series itself and have seen each other in recent off seasons, including this past summer.

Talent is talent and a solid add. Likely starts year in AHL paired with Ryan Graves but a worthwhile addition.

Definitely. What I've read isn't spectacular, but based off the apparent league wide interest in him, there's gotta be something. And considering our woeful pipeline it can't hurt to pick up a free asset.
