Steven Swavely he of 16 games played for the phantoms this year with 0 points, -3 no NHL future is going to get the start at 4C over draft pick Fazleev whose played it all year, 65 games played for them 16 points, -2 on his first year of his EL deal.

Development baby.

honestly I never understood the Beezer hate and the we would have won with Cujo talk. 2 bad goals for sure but 9 in 6 games was outstanding. Maybe had they scored a few.
- nastyflyergirl

1. He's a (frank)ing Ranger to the core and upset a few of those 80s teams
2. As a Pather, he stifled the 96 team.
3. As a Flyer, he poop the bed against the goalie they should have signed. Regardless of how many goals he gave up, those 2 were horrendous, completely his fault and cost them the series

I despise that (frank)er. I gave up my season tix after that. There were other factors, but that was a major reason

From a rooting perspective, I enjoyed seeing the Predators take out the Blackhawks in four straight, yes. In the East, anyone but the Penguins, Rangers or Maple Leafs.

Didn't he give it to the same guy who writes the Kings blog? I would have thought they would not want to double up the writers if they don't have too.

Aube-Kubel benched too because development and this stage is clearly too big for him

In his first year as a pro did you expect him to not have some rough spot & being held out at times?

He played 71/76 regular season games. Playing no PP and bottom 6 duties all year, NAK has been very good and looks every part the future NHL player, and it's a hell of a time to scratch him now if healthy. Yes, along with Fazleev sitting for ECHL Swavely after playing 65 games, that's a crock of poop he is sitting for ECHL Goulbourne. Not to mention Myers and Friedman out for ECHL Lamarche. There's no excuse that can be made that this helps the Phantoms or the prospects.

I actually like this Leafs team. They're a lot more fun than those obnoxious Phaneuf teams, or those Tucker/Domi/Roberts teams that I had such a hate-on for.

The Pens and Rangers are definitely at the top of my poop list, with the Caps not far behind.

I don't know all that's gone on down there but I'm not shocked he'd be a scratch at times, especially if he's not been playing well.

Prospect or not he's still got to earn his playing time.

NAK is a +10 in his 71 games

Goulbourne is a -6 in 24. Are Fazleev and NAK struggling at the same time? Yeah not the end all be all but don't you think if you play 71 damn games you should get the chance to prove that you wont crawl up in the fetal position on the bench because its the playoffs.

NAK may be injured, which is a fair reason, but who actually knows based on the other decisions, which still stand

It's not that I don't like the team, I just want to keep watching them lose. It's funny. I don't actually really hate them all that much, tbh

Then again, I don't know what'd be funnier. The sacred Leafs losing or the Caps choking AGAIN

I would hope that is the reason as it seems, by all accounts, he had a solid rookie season
