I don't think NYR are either though.
- Codes1087

I think when the players are playing their best, NYR is significantly better. 4 20+ goal scorers vs the habs 2, forwards have more speed than the habs. On D, NYRs top guys aren't as good but their depth is better. Goaltending has been a wash.

Habs are behind with Paccioretty playing well but not scoring, Kreider looks completely lost yet the Rangers are winning. I think the series is closer than it would be if NYR weren't having trouble getting most of their top guys going.

Heskainen is another small defenseman like Stecher and Subban. I still think the 2 best defenseman in this draft are Valimaki and Foote.
- Reubenkincade

He will play at 6 ft - 200 lbs....not sure I classify that as small

edit. he is PK Subban's size...you must have meant him right?

He is listed as 5-11 172lbs so I guess he would fit in well on our under 6ft Canucks team

They're really not a very good hockey team
- NorthNuck

I agree slightly overrated however if Price steps up and plays a bit better there plus Weber they could go deep. Rangers aren't that great either.

Zero chance those 2 get picked before Heskainen and Makar.

He was listed at 6 feet, 175 pounds in the fall. Unless he has shrunk he is probably 6 ft - 180 pounds. He is also a July bday so he still has some growing to do.

When we pick 5th I would like anyone of Glass Necas or Rasmussen. I know Rasmussen is not liked as a choice here but after following him all season (on Internet reports) he sounds like a player who plays hard every shift, drives hard to the net and adds much needed size to the prospect pool.
With CBJ 2nd or our 3rd I would like Eemilii Rasanen another large defenseman to replace the one we just lost.
Mason Shaw, Booner's boy, would also be a nice addition, plays with sandpaper and has skill.

- Reubenkincade

Surprised you liked him as he's a soft skilled forward. Very talented though.

Should get rather entertaining. Then the hysteria after we make our pick at the draft

Teams are close in talent and coaching. The games have been very close. It's a whoever gets the last goal wins toss up. Rangers have th edge now going for the kill at home.

Might not be as soft as some suggest. A couple articles I read on him said he drives hard to net and is willing to go to dirty areas, that is all I ask for from some skills guys, enough of this perimeter poop.
Sometimes you end to surround these types of players with the physical types. I am not opposed to skill guys as they are needed on every team. I don't even mind Nico but I have concerns about him, but he sure looked good at wjc.

Benning didn't send Tryamkin's parents a Christmas card no more need to speculate as to how management blew it

Stupid coilers... Was 3-0 on the night before that game turned around
- NorthNuck

Huh?!? Uhm the Oil scored first. Sharks came back and went up 3-1. Oil tied for OT. They scored in last minute. Sharks have to battle it out at home to stay alive which is disappointing. Especially how the path to SCF is shaping up.

Nuck fans can't buy a break so far. I don't think the lotto draw will be any different. The top 5 centers are all good with different concerns. Thus no super stars to be had. Just a good piece. Like the Flames have.
