You know what? If MAF waived to go to Vegas and they took him and traded him to us, as long as we aren't giving up one of our top prospects, I'm ok with that. When MAF is on, he's pretty damned good and you know he'd be damned motivated to show the Pens up. - BiggE
jesus that would be so weird. |

- Jordan Weal proving he can play in the NHL
- The end of the Schultz and VDV eras (hopefully)
- Filppula filling our 2/3C need without overpaying for years in UFA
- Stolarz proving he's at least a capable backup
I got nothin else. - jmatchett383
One of the few Flyers seasons that I was happy to be over. At least we have an interesting off season and training camp that follows to look forward to. There is competition everywhere.
___-Giroux-Voracek
___-Filppula-Simmonds
___-Couturier-Schenn
Bellemare-___-___
Competition(at least as of now): Konecny, Weal, Lindblom, Weise, Raffl, Read, Cousins, Veccione, Laughton, Leier, Lyubimov.
Provorov-___
Ghost-___
___-Gudas
Competition: Macdonald, Manning, Morin, Hagg, Sanheim, Myers, Freidman.
Goaltending is a mystery. |

Well he wouldn't have the yips facing the Flyers during his time behind them you'd hope. |

claude giroux made a significant investment/donation to acquire a junior team for his hometown. The Hearst Lumberjacks begin play in the NOJHL next season. |

Did anyone see the puck go through the hole in the corner where the camera guy sits? One of the Pens defensemen shot it down into the corner to wrap around the boards and it went right through the hole |

Nah that looks just nasty and painful. |

No thanks. He's at least as frustrating as Mason and Neuvirth were this year. Probably moreso. |

He also costs more than Neuvirth and Mason did this year put together. |

No thanks on Nilsson. Career save percentage is worse than Mason's worst year as a Flyer. Not even sure Nilsson is better than Neuvirth |

I still don't understand why Giroux is going to this poop. He needs to rest and get a good offseason program in. |

I don't think he is. He is fine as a backup though. Tough for young goalies, especially big ones playing for the Isles/Oilers/Sabres |

He came back in that game and tried to play through it but they eventually pulled him
His eye ended up swelling shut and he suffered some sort of fracture |

I'm sure they'll find someone mediocre in the short term. There are a decent amount of guys available. I just don't think this team is built to withstand below average goaltending and still make the playoffs. |

He did come back and play until he couldn't see.
Now he's out for months, but no one stopped him from going back out there. So much for the Department for Players Safety. |
