Interesting not familiar with Botterill or Quinn, but if messier comes in then I wonder what direction he goes?
- MR.Hunter

I can't see Messier coming here

Dudley, Ruff, LaFontaine...
all have ties to the Organization & City
I'm looking at them for Team President of VP of hockey, etc
We need someone above the GM here imo

Dreger & Elliott both said that MANY will be interested in the job openings
So I guess we will see

Sam supposedly has "hockey smarts."
I have very limited knowledge of Drisatl, but watching this series, he works his ass off.
So, either Sam needs linemates who work their asses off, and his hockey smarts will get them the puck or we have the wrong guy.

Kane-Reinhart-Bailey

While I don't disagree with any of that...
GMTM had Rochester sucking, us taking a step back, & all the behind the scenes BS was probably the clincher

Murray seemed to be in over his head a bit
And his attitude likely didn't help things either

- jdfitz77

Well its going to be a interesting next few weeks for you guys! And the good news is that the peices are their to get things turn around quickly! Imho best of luck with the rest of the way

Hey...

If it's Lombardi for GM, maybe we get McNabb back?
Not that he's great...
but who wouldn't prefer him over Gorges or Bogosian at this point?

Thanks

If I had to guess, Lombardi is probably the front runner at GM

Looking forward to battling it out with you guys for the next decade or so

I'd trade that close to 10 million dollar pairing for a brick in the sabres concourse that says "Seedy was here."

Maybe Lombardi as Pres of Ops, maybe, but I don't want Pat LaFontaine anywhere near any decision making position in the Sabres franchise. He had two opportunities to get near power in two different franchises, and both times he poop his pants.

My kids get strike three. Not my employees.

The afternoon guys on GR had it right yesterday. The fascination with putting former star players in positions of front office power makes my head explode. I have no reason to think that guys like Messier, Pronger, etc are better than guys that have already done the job. Dudley is the only guy that would make sense.

No to Drury. No to LaFontaine. No to Messier and no to Briere.

Without back reading I'd give Kevin Dineen or Scott Arniel another kick at the can. The bigger issue/question is building a quality front office and getting a quality GM. I don't think the Pegula's know crap about getting either accomplished.

Good point. My hunch is TP will go with qualified folks that have little or no ties to the club from the past. Leave the alumni for Alumni Night.

Anyone think T-Pegs might announce a replacement today? I just can't see him having a press conference to take questions from the morons at the Buffalo News.

I think if he had someone lined up, it would have been leaked by now. Things tend to leak under Pegula.
