Said it earlier, Pegula had the right idea in bringing in LaFontaine as a President of Hockey Operations. He just needed to hire a better guy for the job (I personally don't believe Bucky Gleason's story that he was pushed out). Unfortunately, whatever went down deterred him from following through with that structure.

FWIW, my buddy who has spoken to Murray several times told me today that Murray knew this was a real possibility. Maybe Pegula will act quickly

I didn't see the Murray firing coming at all, I heard he was 50/50 on Bylsma, that's why I said that Murray better have his cards in order when he talks with Pegula.

My thought is that some candidates might be wary of how long of a leash they would really have if they were hired here. My counter to that is: win games and you probably won't have to worry about it.

We needed a different vision. GMTM's seemed non exciting in the whole picture. I don't want 15yrs like the last GM. Your not impressive with you decisions on the ice? Lets change that up for a different vision. Just like how we deal with every day jobs we have.

That 1st round pick for Lehner didn't help but, Kulikov and Franson should have been gone at the deadline. He got offered a late pick for Kulikov.

I fully expect them to have a president of hockey ops tomorrow at the conference. Either Ruff or someone from the LA regime. Leaning towards it being Ruff.

Seems someone posted Pegs was seen last week with some hockey guys at some restaurant
