Makes sense. Wanted to be realistic about what I'm going to see next year. Hopefully he can get those defenders as that's probably our biggest hurdle at this point. Good response, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

-top checking line (wingers could use an eventual upgrade)

Agreed but betting a lot on him too. Hes played pro and pretty good numbers. He might have the same impact as zaitsev, or kempny. I think they should try and add two regardless. if you come up short you still go into next season with a *deep breath* respectable d-core. and if you get 2 you can buy out or trade for 10 cents on the dollar one of the pylons without worrying about replacing their minutes.

Then we are in such good shape that I'm starting Guhle in Rochester & bringing him along a little more slowly

I can't find a link, but I read it a few places that they were told to pump the brakes on the release. I'm not sure if he's still there or not. And since the team isn't saying anything, short of camping out on his lawn we're not going to find out.

My guess is if he was released he left to go to wherever he resides in the off season. Likely in Minnesota. I'd wager 95% chance he's in line up opening night next year.
