I think you'd be hugely disappointed. Quenneville's success in Chicago was a perfect storm scenario IMO - at least more so than him being a godly HC.
- DrChristianTroy

Q has always been a good coach, but I don't really see him as a fit for this rebuilding squad.

He's more of a 4 years from now coach.

Ya they're going to be better before the Canucks and they have no money. Maloney was a knucklehead though, they tried to compete for Doan and Tippett and it never worked...much like Benning.
- LeftCoaster

Ah I see what you mean. Yes, they had the one year where everything went right and Smith was lights out and thought they were going to be a contender... very wrong.

I'd take DeAngelo, Strome, Domi, Dvorak and Perlini pretty happily. Not to mention Chychrun. If they had money to actually insulate these players, they would be very good in a couple years. But they are a failing business

I am still not sure about Benning being a drafting savant . Time will tell

Is that on par with the Avs. Like they were going to be better then the Nucks scenario with all that youth?

Supposedly then, all teams missing the playoffs are better and have brighter futures then the Nucks. Not to mention all the teams in the playoffs are light years ahead of the Nucks.

It's a winning point, to make the Nucks the worst, and going to be lousy for years to come.

He's obviously not, at least at the top end, seems to find value in other rounds though.

Totally. I think most of us would agree he did a great job in 2014 and the jury is out on the other two (except Boeser looks like a great pick at 23). I'm probably one of many that is looking at Tkachuk in a Flames uni and am not happy with it, but as you said: give it time.

Not sure on Green because it may just be Willie all over again?

- Makita

Agree with both.

I have only seen like 2 periods of the playoffs so far but I heard that he wasn't too good so far. We can correct that nexy year by taking his brother.

Agreed, and if the building goes well then there will be good coaches who will want the opportunity. As much as the Canucks present one of 31 coaching opportunities, the good ones have money and time to wait for a better opportunity

Brother Lefty
I notice you didn't go for the Grammar corrections on that post or no mention of biblical reference . It looks like Brother Makita has got through to you.

He's only really had one good game in the playoffs. I'm not putting too much stock in it, kid had an unreal year and looks like a pain in the ass. could have been our pain in the ass
