Didnt Murray do that in Ottawa a few times on an interim basis? Lou as well?

Don't pay any attention to Lefty. His posts aren't even making sense today. Perhaps he is between meals?

I would wait and see if anyone is still getting fired. Queneville would be an excellent add . THere is where you can overspend

I think you'd be hugely disappointed. Quenneville's success in Chicago was a perfect storm scenario IMO - at least more so than him being a godly HC.

Yes....this is why it's important to have UFA's, even poopty ones, to limit the kids exposure. Unless you get a phenomenal kid like McDavid or Matthews. RNH was not ready to be a #1 center at 18 but they threw him out there to the wolves and they ate him.

The thing is, those guys are a lot cheaper than the Sedins or Sutter or Eriksson etc. Cap space that can be used to acquire assets during a rebuild.

Who does everyone want as our next HC out of the rumoured possibilities? For me it's Kreuger, (and it's not even close).

+1

Not sure on Green because it may just be Willie all over again?

But would he actually be interested in coming here with the current state of the team? I have my doubts....

I do hope your right about Krueger though. Maybe Asst. GM and Coach? Or maybe JB becomes Asst. Gm and Krueger is given GM and HC? Regardless, there should be some additions this year besides our basic needs.

Yes sir, 100%.

I get the sense that he's likely being pursued for a management position though.

I think any medical professional would make a great NHL coach.

I'd take DeAngelo, Strome, Domi, Dvorak and Perlini pretty happily. Not to mention Chychrun. If they had money to actually insulate these players, they would be very good in a couple years. But they are a failing business

Ya they're going to be better before the Canucks and they have no money. Maloney was a knucklehead though, they tried to compete for Doan and Tippett and it never worked...much like Benning.

The key is to approach every kid/prospect who is on an ELC, that rather expecting them to be on the team, that they need to DESERVE to be on the team. Juolevi shouldn't be a lock, but should get a good look, same with Boeser, Virtanen, Goldobin, etc etc. Reward players who deserve it, not because it will appeal to the uneducated Canucks fan who knows nothing about anything, or than what they listen to on 1040. If a kid deserves it, play them, if they don't, send them down.

Anybody changed their draft rankings of late after seeing CHL playoff and junior tournament games?
