You'd bet against your own team ?
I don't get this
I love betting on sports, but never against my own team. Even if I thought they didn't have a chance. It's just lose lose - HB77

Actually it would be win-win.... either win the game, or win some cash |

I'm going to have to politely ask that you go (frank) yourself.
Not saying that you're wrong, but I refuse to root against the Oil now or ever. - Wildschwein
Hold on a minute there!
I'm not rooting against them, but I'm merely saying that they are gonna have to give 110% if they want to beat SJ. I'll still cheer 'em on, but I won't be disillusioned. I hope they prove me wrong, I really do, but if they lose, I'll understand why (as evident during this series; SJ strong defensive structure). To me, this playoff run is merely a learning experience for the core group.

I'm a realist. Since the beginning of the series, I've been saying Burns and SJ will beat Edmonton by G6 IF the rat and Jumbo are back in by G2 or G3 (early enough). SJ has the better defensive structure (overall, thus including forwards where SJ has great two way players such as Jumbo, the rat, and Pavelski to name a few) in comparison to Edmonton.
I would LOVE to be proven wrong, but I must conform with reason, not illusions.
This playoff run is gonna be a great one in terms of a learning experience, but that's about it. - NoRussian
I'm no homer
Far from it. Pretty glass is half empty fan actually
And I don't disagree they have a ton of firepower and experience. Neither do I disagree that on paper, they shoulda been the favourites comin in. For a bunch of reasons.
But the series is tied. And We've still got Connor and talbot.
it's FAR from over. We're right in this and we unequivocally CAN beat this team. We've proven it
weve lost the mo. But we're going home which counteracts that's abit |

Hmmm...
Still sounds too defeatist in my mind. You might very well be right but saying it seems so wrong. To each their own however.
I just say the Oilers in 7. |

7-0 as we speak.
I don't have a crystal ball, predictions always vary. No one is perfect, man. And those two games (especially the first win) were due to the unlikely emergence of Kassian, something no one expected, not even me. Gotta factor that in as well. |

That's playoffs
Unlikely heros and depth scoring
There was never any chance we were gonna get swept. We're in this team's class beyond any shadow of a doubt.
If their experience does us in, so be it. But we CAN win this thing |

I take Nurse and Banning over Russel and Sekera so far tonight. - wreckage
Dear god, how? Nurse has been on the ice for 4 of the goals against and he and Benning are directly responsible for 2 of those with garbage efforts. At least Sekera and Russell have only been on for PP goals against. |

Man, every Oiler has been poop. Kassian's level of poop isn't as bad as a Maroon's level of poop for example - TheGiftofGod
Maybe the poop just got real. Sharks woke up. Playoff hockey is on. |

They won two games without the help of Draisaitl and McDavid. |
