answer the bell for what???
a lot of sh!t happens during the game.... its just play-off hockey.
you cld argue that Backes went after Dion's knees..... it wld have been stupid for Dion to find with a lead in hand.....
the slash was just retaliation...... and no worse than the cross check Chara laid later in the game in front of the Bruins net - with no penalty called. - GadesnSens

I was pretty pissed off with Dion after that two-handed slash (+ penalty). I've been complaining up and down that there should be zero tolerance for that kind of nonsense - it's dangerous if nothing else (Methot, Stone). Dion has a tendency to be a bit of a baby sometimes and I'm worried it's going to cost us before this series is over. That being said, there's a lot of pretty dirty stuff going on, but I guess that's to be expected. That Chara cross-check on Ryan after the whistle was a case in point.
Pretty exciting series with not much between them (though the Sens really did dominate in the stats last night). I expect Boston to come back pretty hard tomorrow so expect more of the same. I wonder if the Sens would be doing as well if the Bruins' blue line was healthy... |

I think Phaneuf didn't go because he was at the end of a shift and had just taken a big hit. Backes is fresh and looking to create some momentum for his team in a building that had noticeably quieted. Phaneuf kept the puck in and changed 20-30 seconds later Backes rifles it off the cross bar so clearly he had gas Phaneuf did not. I think Phaneuf was probably a little embarrassed at being challenged like a kid from grade 5 (seriously Backes was barking in his ear LMAO) and thus the frustration chop!! They will probably go to settle it but only if the situation is right, the goal is to win the game afterall everything else is secondary. |

Ek and Hoffman pass/goal
Was
Insane.
Both teams have been really even in terms of physicality and energy.
I honestly thought the Bruins were taking this once they scored that 3rd goal..Anderson made some solid saves (including that sneaky shot by Marchand off the face off) to keep it even.
I thought the penalty in OT was fair..I didn't see Ryan's elbow on Nash..after he lost his stick, looked like he was tryna be physical and check him. I mean I guess it's soft in comparison to other things the refs let go but it's still worthy of a penalty.
A few dumb Bruins fans..but every fan base has those.
Loved what Ek did but he should get fined for that and Eugene should pay for his fine
Haha, but who are we kidding?

Without question.
One of the best executed passes I've ever seen watching hockey. |

I don't think he should but who cares if EK is fined, it was only a specific few bunch of idiots fans (that you can find in any rink) that did stupidities like that and also some apparently threw beers/drinks onto the ice and towards exiting Sens players... |

It was perfect
Only thing that would've made it better was having some better commentary.
I would've been like:
O MAHHH GAAAWWD
Karlsson must've thought he was playing football with that TOUCHDOWN PASS
HOFFMAN JUST MORPHED INTO PETER FORSBERG and GAALALALDHDJDIDHDBDJDJDHFJDJFJFJ!

Sens had 4 power plays, Bruins had 3.. It was a fairly ref'd game.
Stone got tripped and there was no call
Methot jabbed a bruin pretty good. No call |

Great first half of the game. Awful 2nd half of the game. Lucky penalty call in OT to get a chance to win and they capitalized. Not your most ideal game. But a win is a win.
Karlsson is in a league of his own this series so far. Hoffman was in his superstar form last night.
I do think massive props have to continue to be given to the like of Ryan, Dion, Mac, and Brassard. All these guys have contributed in huge ways. Some have made bad plays but made up for them later in the game. Andy should get some props last night too. He really didn't help anything letting in the 3 Boston goals, but made a few key saves in the 3rd to get it to OT. The ability to bounce back after a poor play is a rare quality. It's happened quite often so far this series.
Still a long way to go to win the series, but I think they can get it done. Would be nice to see more complete 60 minute efforts. These mid game breakdowns give us heart attacks. But that's the drama of playoff hockey. Gotta love it. |

As it is, Bob Cole is all like "Boston really pressing here, Boston running the play... Wait a second... Was that a pass?... ....Goal!" |

I don't think it was an awful second half of the game. It was an awful second, but frankly they fluked their way back into it. Yeah we didn't dominate them after that, but I wouldn't say it was awful.. If anything, they had an edge in play, but on the whole we were clearly the better team.
Penalty in OT was ridiculous however. |
