Typical anywhere in Europe at any time wearing any football jersey and running into the wrong football jersey wearing humans. - AdamFrench
Not in all countries though..
It is one of the reasons why I completely stopped following football though..
(another main reason is the utter imparity between teams, leaving only a few teams in Europe with the best players in the world) |

Worst two experiences I've heard of from people I know are Habs fans that went to Philly and Leafs fans who went to Boston. - markmark
I've been to tons of Leafs games in Boston.
Never, ever had a problem. |

I hate when people throw poop on the ice.
Boo. Yell. Whatever.
But don't throw crap on the ice. It's dangerous.
And I also hate when people bang on the glass and yell at players. Sit down and shut up. You aren't part of the game - you are a spectator. - Atomic Wedgie
I hated it before this story I'm about to tell:
I was at a game with my sister when I was about 15 or 16 and it was a big playoff game against buffalo. There was some marginal/bad call (I really don't remember). Anyways, stand there in aw yell a bit, and leave my row. I had a family friend that had seats on the glass next to the Bruins bench, so I turn leave the row and start walking up the stairs and then splat.
Some douche threw a container of BBQ sauce from the balcony, hit me square in the forehead, and went all over my jersey.
So needless to say, I hated it before and hate it even more now. The worst part is everyone that does it is an adult - grow the f up. |

I got a good laugh from a FB post today. I have lot of cousins in Winnipeg. The one who posted was a Sens fans until his Jets came back. He linked the article to the garbage throwing and stick grabbing with a line "really Boston fans?"
His buddy comments "This was brutal! I mean, I once stole a helmet from a player and my girlfriend dumped a beer on him but this is disgraceful!!" - markmark

I honestly have never seen any issues between fans in the last 3 years of being a ticket holder.
And I used to go all the time before that too and very rarely have i seen any issues. And never the leafs, it was always the habs fans, who to be completely honest can be quite insufferable for attending an away game. |

That's the thing - you are in another team's building. You are a guest.
Cheer for your team. But don't be a douchebag, and you won't have a problem. |

Someone needs to let Patrick O'Sullivan know he's hosting a show called LEAFS Lunch.
Jesus he's a negative Nancy.
"Andi, are you going to be a leafs fan girl all day or are we going to be able to have an intelligent hockey conversation"
He must be so fun at parties. |

I have a bunch of blanks + a Reimer and Gardiner. All free so I can't complain. It's like the Brett Lowry jersey I got for free. I feel weird wearing it but don't want to buy one. - markmark
Take that Reimer jersey to your local sports store and have them tear that Reimer bar off and replaced with Matthews !! |

Too be totally honest, I was definitely embarrassed by how much poop was thrown on the ice and how the away tunnel/bench was treated. It was just a terribly officiated game, but what the hell is that going to do?
It looked like at one point they were thinking of challenging the play too as no one left the bruins bench. what would've happened if they reversed it? couldn't they have called a 2 minute delay of game on the fans?
I just sat there and was like well, I'm waiting this out here while all the goons exit, hit the proshop and walked the f home. Then got half way home and it started pouring. - RickJames77
Yeah, another Tim Peel special. He's this generation's Kerry Fraser.
Throwing poop on the playing surface only serves to make the fans look bad. I don't know if there are any rules allowing for a penalty against the home team resulting from fan behaviour. It sounds like a good idea on the surface but would surely invite visiting fans to try and get a penalty called on the home team thereby endangering players, officials and other fans.
Good call on your part waiting out the tards before heading home. Also, in the rain nobody can see you cry. |

Jesus christ, that's like hancuffing your wrists and ankles and getting thrown in at the deep end... - lumlums
It was fantastic.
The stadium was cinderblock. I guess as some sort of crowd control measure, to actually get in the building, you had to kinda turn yourself sideways and inch past the ticket booth - they made the entrance that narrow.
There was the most foul-mouthed fan I have ever heard. Of course, he was with his kids.
Millwall went down 2-0. The guy was just shouting insults at the Millwall striker - non-stop.
And then the striker scored 3, and Millwall won 4-2. I think buddy thought that he deserved the credit for the win. |

You know what gets me, where in the rule book does it say that a ref has to ignore the instigator who should be called for a penalty and instead give a penalty to the retaliation, isn't the first infraction suppose to be called acccording to the rule book as a penalty. |

They haven't lost in the playoffs while he's been in the building this year. |
