Holtby getting outplayed by Andersen is the difference right now.

Leafs have a chance for sure, and a good one at that.

The best team getting eliminated.... clearing the way for the Habs......

Just like in 93....

Good.... good....

Holtby kept them in it in the third.

I don't think either goalie can be blamed for losses the way they're both playing.

Leafs look damn good when they're not in their own end.

Love it... as long as they can keep it out of their own end.

Leafs are up 2-1

Unless you meant the Blackhawks

- TheMussel

Well they're not all out, I'm just speculating / getting excited.

Obviously Caps getting eliminated is far from being done.

But they need to step up their game.

He did, but that's what you'd expect from him. To be at least as good as Andersen.

Right now, he's not. Mostly because Andersen is playing really well but it is what makes the difference between now and the analysis of both teams before the series started.

The chances of the Habs beating Pittsburgh, or anyone in the east for that matter are extremely low IMO.

Andersen let in 2 on 2 shots to start the game, He's not playing as great as you think.

I was waiting for that push back by wsh last night ant it came in the first 10 mins of the game.

Leafs were able to fight back and not rollover which I think is key for the series going forward.

And the pk was great last night.

You think so?

Habs are considered favorites vs NY imo.

They'd be favorites vs the Sens or Boston as well... especially considering the success they had over both teams this season.

Am I wrong to think so?

Habs are a lock for the ECF.

If they play anyone other than the Pens, I'd put them in the Cup Final if it was a bet.

You would be wrong to think they would be favorites over the Penguins, but those other teams. you are correct.

that's about as obvious an endorsement of Simmons analytical ability as is Howard Berger's post (on Facebook) on how the Leafs will now definitely be winning the series.

THIS type of quality reporting is half the reason the team has been so crap for so long... every player overrated and underrated at the same time... these idiots more concerned about hot-dog carts, contacting players parents for injury updates and talking about their summer vacation plans in Muskoka than any real hockey analysis.

I love the internet... we don't have to rely on these doinks commentary ... from their previously privileged positions traveling with the team, leaking information inappropriately and just plain dumb commentary.

I see RJ wasn't happy about the loss last night...

Also, go watch the Bruce Cassidy talking to Edwards and the other commentator after the game. Edwards sits quietly the whole time and at the very end just complains about the penalty. (Which, granted, I haven't seen)

Here it is:

Glad to see the Bruins cheapshot BS caught up to them on this one. If you do this 100x a game your bound to get at least one.

Just saw a different angle. Ryan does get Nash a bit too but apparently Methot was called for the same earlier?
