Marner's smaller and he's been battling that in the last 20 games of the season and now in the playoffs.
I think they're about the same in skill level but Nylander's shooting more AND playing with Matthews. Marner's been setting up JvR more than anything else.
I think Marner would do better vs a smaller team than Washington (which happens to be the biggest in the East this year)
Also, defensively, Marner's more solid than Nylander. His awareness is on point. Remember Nylander drifting in no mans land in Washington when the guy just walked up to Andersen and poked the puck between his legs?
Offensively Nylander's been stellar, defensively just ok. Marner's done a bit of a flip in that regard this series. |

You could have just said that Marner is a year younger and in his first professional season vs Nylander being in his third full professional season. |

The "Playoff tree"on NHL.com says we play the winner of Pitt/Columbus.
I thought they reseeded everyone after the first round? |

Marner needs to stop doing those stupid behind the back, spin-o-rama passes to no one that he does EVERY GAME. It really pisses me off. He reminds me of a younger Gardiner.
He'll probably learn when to and when not to do them as he matures, so it's all good. |

Nope. After the Caps, it'll be the Pens. Then the Sens...man what a downgrade, eh? |

They changed it about 3 years ago. Once you moved over to the Washington bracket you that matchup was set. 1 plays the 2nd wild card, 2 plays 3 in the division, winner of each plays eachother. in our bracket 2 plays 7, 2nd in the division plays 3rd (Ott - BOS), winners play each other |

Woot! I really feel that Dart Guy is the difference for us. Give that guy front row seats and show him on each break. In fact, go a step further and create a giant mascot suit called Dart Guy. Could generate a new revenue stream to MLSE from the waining tobacco industry? |

No problem - not exactly as eloquently put as it could be, but enough to where you get the gist. |

I thought so as well but then Cherry said he was hurt and didn't return. Just Cherry being senile? |

what happened to this whole "divisional playoff" thing?
I figured if Montreal beats NYR we'd be playing them
