To be fair people been riding Rielly on his play and he's been better all year than Z...Z seemed to get a pass while Rielly took the heat. I don't think he should be a top pairing guy.

Part of the reason Zaitsev "got a pass" was because it was his first NHL season. What some hockey people refer to as a rookie.

And I think you and Clarkson are exaggerating a bit. Most of the year he was pretty consistent.

Cherry's bias against non Canadian players is showing again.

Shows Zaitsev on the two goals tonight - 2 rather bad plays when he's just come back from injury, and he's going on about how he can't play defense and Marlies defenders must be annoyed he's being offered a contract instead of them...

Right, show two terrible mistakes when he's just come back from injury and make a decision about his ability on just that...
