He is a little b!tch that was mentally weak and didn't have the desire to train and work like a professional. Once Cody and his daddy got the big pay cheque he packed it in. I still think that was one of Gillis's best trades - CanuckDon

I disagree. His numbers are excellent other than one poopy season on a really bad sabre team.
He works for the preds now so I can't believe he was a problem. You guys are just pissed he hurt your feelings. - bloatedmosquito
No, I just don't have patience for entitled princesses. Virtanen may be a bust but at least he has a good attitude. |

It was a really smart move by Gillis and a decent trade. Sadly, Kassian fell in with the wrong crowd here in Yaletown and wasted 4 years of his life. Cody was an entitled little punk from the beginning. - CanuckDon

Coho was entitled but kassian fell into the wrong crowd?
I'd say kassian has a bit of responsibility there. |

Hate because Cody didn't live up to your over inflated expectations?
That's your issue. Your bum hurt. |

I thought you were talking about personal success note riding the coat tails of Crosby & Malkin.
Bonino sucked goat balls as a Canuck and would still be fluffing them if here was currently a Canuck. - Marwood
I can agree with that.he would be getting all kinds of abuse frm fans for his lack of speed, finish, hitting, etc cuz he'd be compared to Kesler all the time... |

Well if he is in the same making as Kassian. Just have to wait 6 years to see.
I heard JB wasn't going to go to the u18 tournament. Is he already done his scouting? |

Kassians a POS, I agree with vantel and I hate the coilers only because they keep calling themselves the city of champions, I don't hear Montreal calling themselves that, coilers had a run in the 80s with a stacked team and that's pretty much it. |

Kassian could have had it all in vancity... Really screwed the team and fans over with his drug addled ways....
Sedins should have lead the way and kept him in check as the leaders on the team... But I doubt they think that's part of what they should be doing... How hard would it have been to recognize he's hanging out with drug dealers from Abbotsford who are big time coke dealers |

How do you know what my expectations of Cody were? I was pumped when Gillis made the trade. It sounds like you are butt hurt over losing your little bum buddy Cody. |

That is strange...perhaps he is too busy with the coach search. It kind of scares me that he is delegating to our scouting department. |

I'm happy for him as he's found himself in a good situation after being shuffled around for a couple of years. Pittsburgh is not were they are because Bonino is on the team. Also, he doesn't seem to be the princess that Kesler is. |

That phrase came from their mayor in 1987 as a response to how they handled the tornado that ripped through Edmonton, not because of all the Grey Cups and Stanley Cups. |

Kassian fell into the rock star lifestyle that Van can offer a Canucks player. I think that's what kind of happened to JV last yr.

Little bit less worried because he would have seen a lot at WJC. He also would have seen them play throughout the years. I believe JB said he was going to the WC. Maybe he is scouting some NHL players for a trade. |

You guys are unbelievable. Why don't we all just stick to the facts instead of gossiping?
He had 33 points in 66 games with the canucks. That's good.
He has 99 points in 210 games with buffalo. That's good.
He had 8 points in 39 games with the preds. That's not good.
He's performed better over the years than your average 1st rounder. If he had an attitude problem he wouldn't be working for the last team he played for.
Maybe, just maybe a few teams he played for had the attitude problem. Hmmm. |

Say what?
Did Virtanen's 'good attitude' arise before or after he spend the entire off-season getting fat and throwing money at strippers?
Coho, Kassian and Virtanen (at this point) were all massive disappointments for a number of reasons.
One was a daddy's boy who couldn't skate.
One had serious psychological issues.
One thought he'd get a free ride based on his size and previous success. |
