They obviously didn't know that then but as a precaution he played with a full face shield so he was really in no more harm going back in other than the pain.
- NJPensfan

If he wears a full shield and is in no more danger of further harm why would they announce he's done for the year?

Honestly, I feel bad for the guy and love his guts, but I don't know how you don't proceed with caution. That's all I'm saying.

And this player nobody around here knows about; Daniel Sprong

Imagine if both of those guys can come in next year and be impactful?

I'm very impressed how he's shaped his game. I was concerned early on because he seemed to get pushed around a bit too easily, but he's figured out how to handle it. As everyone points out, his Hockey IQ is incredible, he's got great instincts, great awareness and yeah... Go Gman!

Still think he needs to put on 5-10 lbs in the offseason. Only downside to him is that he can get muscled around a bit. Everything else looks top tier to me.

realistically, 15-20 lbs would be better, but that much weight would likely reduce his speed, which I don't want affected.

Yes he can throw a clot and die for starters. Also, to be honest he most likely has a concussion. So it was dumb to send him back out there. He is 19 years old. Dumb.

Crosby's still the best. Like a surgeon around the net but also unafraid to get his nose dirty. Elevating his whole team.

Bravo.

Not an insult. Just easier to spell than his real name and make me chuckle a bit.

I remember reading that he actually lost weight this off-season to get faster. I'm not sure if that was muscle or chub.

15-20 pounds? Too much for a guy his size. 5 pounds of muscle is significant even though it doesn't sound like much. He's really learned to play an elusive game while still throwing the body occasionally.

I don't think he NEEDS to put on that weight, but it wouldn't hurt. Then again, if the weight he lost was muscle in order to get faster, then no, stay where he is.
