Raiders and Niners can't even play pre-season anymore because a dozen fans or more are hospitalized. San Diego and Raiders are similar. I've been to many of these affairs going back decades ............... it's pretty damn intense and you better be on your toes while taking a leak as that's where most of the bad sheit goes down.

Not to be rude here but isn't Oakland and San Fran pretty rough areas? If Buffalo was as bad as Oakland was I think we'd probably lose our team years ago because of Pats and Dolphins fans ending up in Lake Erie..

Oakland is a rough place, to be sure. But even Padres fans are crazy too. San Diego, LA and San Francisco are pretty nice places.

Gerbe the Leafs have a great future no doubt. But they lucked into the playoffs by one point with one of the healthiest rosters in the league and all their rookies hit home runs that's very, very rare. If stupid Tampa could've stayed healthy we wouldn't be having this convo because Toronto would be golfing right now. They definitely lucked into playing Washington who if it wasn't for the Buffalo Bills would be the biggest choke artists in the playoffs.

What are you talking about? They can barely afford to sign Brown and Hyman this year. And that's with letting Boyle and Polak go without replacing them. They basically have to trade JVR to have any hope of signing Nylander after next year, and then are they going to magic up like $14M for Matthews and Marner the year after?

I'm not going to say they're in cap hell, but they've got a ton of work to do to avoid it.

For starters they shouldn't resign Laich, Greening, Michalek, Robidas or Ben Smith. That's the first order of business giving them 15 mil off the books. Giving them just over 20 mil space.

Next, decide if you wanna keep Polak, Boyle or Hunwick (can't imagine them getting much of a raise. If you don't sign all off them add 1.2, 2.25 or 2 mil to the space.

When any of the big 3 are looking for their raise the Leafs will have Lupul, Bozak, Komarov, JVR, Fehr, Marchenko and Gleason (I know right) off the books.
