There are pretty good odds that at least one of the goalie prospects turns into a stud NHLer. Now, just figure out who the starter's going to be for the next 2-3 years and they're set.

The million $ problem. The stop gap of 2-3 years. Will Elliott sign for 3 years? I have a feeling he is going to want term in his next deal. I'm thinking he'll be in the 5X5 range. Can the Flames commit to him for that long when they will have a goalie coming up through the system?

I'm guessing Bishop, Elliott, and possibly Fleury will all be looking for around 6 million a year for 4 years.

I'm not ready to give up on him yet, but he better not be given a flaming C any time soon.

I hope after the up and down season Elliott has had that the Flames don't invest that much term in him. He's been really good at times and absolute poop at others. 3x5 would be better (still not ideal) but I don't think he'd like the term.

The flip side is, where else would he get a chance at that much money? I don't think teams will be knocking doors down to get him this summer. I think Dallas, if they can get from under Lehtonen and Niemi, will make a run at Bishop. I can't really think of another team that would be looking for a starting goalie. Winnipeg? Vegas?

Even with his awful start, he still had better numbers than the other goalies that will be available as free agents. Flyers will be looking for a goalie. Hurricanes could be the breakout team next year if they get a decent goalie. Vegas should be going after the best goalie they can and it's not like there's anyone else on the Flames they would want.

Yeah, forgot about Philly and Carolina. I like Elliott on the Flames, but man is it frustrating when he lets in muffins from the top of the circle short-side. He'd definitely be a good stop-gap until one of the young guys are ready to hopefully step up.

Glenn Campbell is currently unemployed. CTV cut their entire sports department. There was talk on a twitter thread I was on that it was not Sportsnet guys at all, it was a crew next to them and the mics picked it up. I think I make out Garrett for sure myself. Really, did they say anything that we weren't thinking? I think the Hamilton penalty was weak at that point in the game. The Brodie penalty was all on him and it was stupid to take it at that point.

I think the one that was vocal & swearing was Eric Francis of the Herald. Was pretty funny but I'm sure both Hammy & Brodie would have heard their comments by now & they probably know who it was. The next interview could be a little uncomfortable, if they even grant one at all.

I'm still here u little female dog. Worry about ur poopty team not calling me out. You guys should be called Calgary Lames for the lame excuse u have for all the losses. There's a reason why u were a wild card team.

I don't know if anyone else is keeping up with him, but Tyler Parsons is destroying the OHL. He's allowed three goals on 119 shots in his three wins in the series against Eerie. I know goalies are hit or miss and their junior play doesn't always translate, but holy poop. If this kid can come anywhere close to that it'd be awesome. I'm (probably too) excited to see what he can do as a professional next season.

Ah! There you are!

Finally sobered up enough to crawl out from under your rock?

BTW, the Calgary Lames thing is meant for children... wait, that makes so much sense...

The morning 960 crew was saying it was a nobody after they learned his name. Scratch Eric Francis of the list...

Based on his stats this season: got pulled often in the ECHL this year. Looking at their schedule, he lost the starter spot to a no name. Coach doesn't trust him starting in the stretch.

I've never once seen a strong performance from Mason McDonald. Don't see where the optimism is coming from.

EDIT: To add to this, McDonald got to start the final season game for Stockton. He allowed 6GA in 33 shots.

LETS FACKING GOOOOO!!!!!!!! SMASH KESLER, RUN GIBSON, TWO HAND PERRY FACK IT
- jessehub

Pretty much bro. That's how the Quacks do it. If you want to win you're going to have to play to their level. Go ahead and run Gibby then when Berny comes out, go ahead and run him too. Just be gentle on Bernie. He is still one of my all time fav Kings.

Just seem Komarov do a triple cross check and then now the Ottawa dman double crosschecking guys who are down.

I now agree, that Brodie penalty was garbage.

Yup.

He was the 11th overall pick in 2006. Was good enough to get into a few games as an 18 year old. Was outstanding in the AHL and as our backup. Won the Cup in 2012. Fell off really bad in his second season in Toronto. Probably from the pressure of playing there. Now makes his living degrading himself as a Quack till another opportunity arises. Godspeed JB.

With the way that guy just butchered both anthems with country music mixed in I hope the Ducks kill it tonight. Kesler didn't look too impressed either.
