I was a little surprised to see him there.

If today proved one thing it's how much Flyers hockey people here watch exclusively and how high their hopes are for some of our prospects.

It was expected but I really thought there would be more back and forth than there was. I wasn't expecting second best player in the league status after the kid's rookie season where he got very little fan fare around the league.

It's sort of a cool reaction from this thread where most of the time the grass is greener else where.

Was that the MacD trade?

'Twas. Who knows who the Flyers would have selected, but this was the same Brandon Carlo who was rejected by Boston as the centerpiece for a Landeskog deal. Really makes you think! But we still have 3 more years to evaluate MacDonald, so maybe we will still come out ahead in the end.

After reading your comments about Ekblad and Chabot being in the Q still this ranking is a bit confusing. I dont know much about Carlo or Chychrun, but I would rank Provy above Chabot, Hanifin, and Ekblad atleast.

I would agree with you if the Flyers had a wealth of young NHL defenseman but they don't. They have a wealth of defensive prospects at this point other than Provorov and Gostisbehere. Even then I probably would hesitate based on what I think Provorov is going to be when all is said and done.

I don't get why people want the Capitals to win. They're our rivals. We hate them. Truly, I think they're above the Penguins now in dislike.

Toronto isn't really going anywhere, but they're fun to watch unlike the Capitals who have as much talent as anyone but choose to play a mucking game. The thought of the Capitals failing again in the 1st round, after going all-in and maybe for the last time, is just so much (frank)ing fun to imagine. The schadenfreude makes my nipples hard.
