I think he's worth the money. IMO anyways

The thing with him is he has a very small list of teams he wants to play for. Which will drive the price down a tad.

That's good for the Leafs. The more players in the east that sign players for a cap hit that's higher than their on ice value the better.

I don't want the Leafs signing any big name UFA's. Better they get a top 4 RD via trade, then pick up a bottom pairing guy, to replace Hunwick, long after July 1st when teams get better value for their $$.

I'd give him that cap hit x 2 years, that way he's off the books when Matthews, Marner, Gardiner, and Kapanens contracts are up.

Well it would give the goat more time to season, and what we don't know is his impact on the younger players, guys in the room.team chemistry and a good loose room helps ,and he's looked good! If the contract makes sense $wise and years go for it,and a no no trade clause
