I agree with this... it doesn't have to be a superstar... which frankly would only get the leafs into cap trouble when the kids are coming off their ELCs

what they need are solid dependable guys who aren't flashy who can get it done in their own zone and are effective on the PK

Honestly the Caps on paper look like the most stacked I can recall in a long time.

you need a core of 4 or 5 solid forwards and 2 or 3 good D... the rest just need to be capable players on reasonable contracts

I have been saying that theirs a trade between the leafs and ducks somewhere in the future that will make sense for both clubs, ducks with dman players /prospects and the leafs with forwards! I think he's worth the money. IMO anyways

The thing with him is he has a very small list of teams he wants to play for. Which will drive the price down a tad.

Watching the first two games just strengthens my view that Orlov is the D-man to target off Washington. He is an RFA....has been paired with Zaitsev in the past.....ty and wrestle his all-around game away from the Caps, please!

6 x 6 would be perfect for Shattenkirk but 7 x 7 is likely what it takes. Making USD living in Canada has got to be attractive right?
