Saw this blog comin as soon as they potted that winner. Helluva game. It's fun when u got not stake in it. No stress.
Well played and congrats
And yes, gardiner was fantastic last night.
It's funny too, cause the last time I remember thinking that was the last time the leafs were in the playoffs. Big game player?
But I take back my preds as good a 8 seed as leafs back.
They're better. No goals against in 2 games and dominant against a dynasty team.
Big lebowski is the greatest movie ever. Any movie that the 50th time you see still has some brilliant moment that you didn't fully pick up on the other 49 is pretty Amazing stuff
Cows milk is for baby cows. I ain't preaching or anything, just think it's gross.
More smiths and the cure please. Before my time but I'm an old soul - HB77
Not before my time, and they were awesome, especially the Cure, by miles in this case. The Cure pretty much defined a whole generation of "underground" music, when it was actually still an awesome thing.

Why would Toronto ever have offered that? Assuming it's true, why would they trade a player they just got back? You don't even know what you have at that point. Not to mention Bozak's contract isn't one you want to take on.
Again, trading a potential top line player because he's a brat isn't a smart move. Once it became clear he wasn't going to be that player, and he alienated himself from the team, they moved him. Roslovic alone makes that even for me.
Petan was also very good on the powerplay, when he was allowed to play. You forget that the Jets PP is brutal as a whole, and Petan's production there will be modest as a result.
I've watched almost every single game, pre season or regular season, this team has played since 2011 (let's say I missed 10 for whatever reasons), and about 100 Thrashers games before that. Burmistrov and Kane were handled about as well as possible. The never trading off our expiring deals for draft picks when you claim to be rebuilding is definitely some annoying "asset mismanagement", I'll give you that. - Rexypoo
Tldr.
Jets are junk. Awful gm |

Ah, you overrate the Hawks. They're not the same team that you think they are. At this point, I don't think they're much better than Nashville or eve Toronto. They've lost so much of their depth.
I do agree Big Lebowski is a great movie, but the greatest movie ever is Back to the Future. - James_Tanner
You're both wrong. I love Back to the Future, and it might be my 2nd or 3rd favorite movie, but hands down the greatest movie ever is Dr. Strangelove. Peter Sellers and George C. Scott gave some of the best performances ever put to film. |

It was a great move by Buffalo, if reports out of Buffalo are true the Sabres got rid of three players they didn't want in Myers, Stafford and Armia and Lemieux said he wouldn't report to Buffalo if they kept his rights, and the Jets got a low 1st rounder.
Buffalo made the trade to ensure the future of their franchise, didn't get Mc David but
Eichel is a pretty good consolation prize. Winnipeg traded a Loonie and got back
2 quarters and a couple of dimes- typical of a Gm that is scared to make deals. - Moosejuice17
Murray didn't want Myers because he's Stay Puft Marshmallow Man soft. And to his detriment wanted/wants to be a team that's "hard to play against". They weren't re-signing Stafford because he's a maddeningly inconsistent player, Armia really wasn't progressing like they thought, and wasn't really fitting in in Rochester, and maybe gave up on him a bit early, but I'd still rather have Kane.
Lemieux refused to sign his ELC because he's an entitled douchebag who has a moron for an agent(his dad) plus he's Matt Cooke 2.0 just waiting to happen. He still hasn't been able to crack the NHL, but he wanted to be on the Sabres roster his first year on a team that was tanking for McDavid. And he still wasn't good enough. lol
It's a controversial subject on the Sabres thread, but we very easily could have ended up with Strome, who may very well be a fine player, but he's no McDavid or Eichel, and for what they did it would've been devastating not to walk away with McDavid or Eichel.
It was still a huge price to pay, but the bottom line is the Sabres got the best player in the deal, maybe also got the worst, but still... |

Boyhood was a one of the best things I've ever seen. I kinda feel sorry you're so cynical to just completely ignore it like that. - James_Tanner
You're both wrong, the greatest film of all time was the Shawshank Redemption. Even if you look at objectively, the film has the highest rating on IMDB, and is on the top 5 list of every film critic in the world. Even highest rated on Kodi, which should tell you a bunch. |

I don't think the Shank is actually regarded very highly by nerdy film people - I think it's more like the Eagle's Greatest Hits of movies, if you know what I'm saying.
Not that that makes it good or bad. Personally, I like it , don't love it. Certainly it wouldn't make my top 100. |

I understand you guys not wanting the Sabre players anymore but the same can be said for the Jets. Kane has been a cancer anywhere he has played going back to his junior days and his days in Winnipeg were over. It's widely known around here Bogo had a Coke issue and like Myers could never stay healthy. I look at like this. Yes, i was wrong that myers and stafford having more points than Kane and Bogo but not wrong if you add Armia. The Jets have made the playoffs once since the trade where the Sabres have not so for these two points alone, the Jets have won the Trade already. If you hate Lemieux fine, I think players like him are necessary on teams and I'm still interested to see what he can do but the best player in this trade may end up being Jack Raslovik and for that reason alone we won the future of this trade as well. Kane being Sabre after this year is far from a reality and trust me, it will be a good thing if he's not.

or you can't count

when did chevy draft those guys? He was cleaning up Atlanta's mess. And you know very little about the Jets. - Ross77
never said he drafted them-you cant count or read apparently. And what difference does it make who drafted them? you don't give away assets regardless of whether
you drafted them or not, maybe when you get to high school they will have a business course and you can learn about asset management

So maybe I looked a little while ago, oh well . Still a home run for the jets - Ross77[/quote
you think Kane for Roslovic is a home run?? you know about as much about baseball
as you do about hockey

Citizen Kane is the greatest movie of all time. You are all completely on the wrong track. In fact, nothing after 1961 is very good in comparison to films like Dawn Patrol, Boom Town, The Executive Suite, Sparticus and other films of that era. Seriously, watch a few of them.and you'll be surprised. |

You make some interesting points. I agree that Cheveldayoff did a horrible job in managing assets. I do like Myers though and do not think he is as soft as he was in Buffalo. The Jets struggled mightily on defense without him. Armia has developed nicely and looks like he has the potential to become Frolik 2.0, time will tell. Lemieux is going to be a career AHLer, as the guy can't even crack the Moose's top two lines. I think the deal will ultimately come down to what Roslovic becomes. Otherwise it was nice to see Kane play up to his potential.
