There was no way he was getting past that ankle/leg folding under him. Has to be a high ankle sprain at a minimum.

From a re-watch, I think he's probably (frank)ed up his knee ligaments. Wouldn't be surprised if there's an ACL/MCL tear

We need some toughness on defence. I would love Josh Manson. So sick of guys running our goalie.

Manson would be ridiculous. He's not flashy, but he's been with Lindholm all rear for a reason

To me it looked like something was broken. His leg looked kid of crooked when he was laying on the ice, like his foot was pointing in a weird angle.

Gardiner haters treat your head to a shake

Its hilarious. As soon as he has a decent game, you guys love to wrap your lips around his stick. When he makes game losing mistakes, you just disappear or the few left over start making excuses about the angle of the stick vs the puck or some random other BS.

He helped tie the game for Washington today, with (lack of) help from Brown, so lets take it 1 game at a time.

I'll judge him on his actual performance. He played well both these games. He played like a goof in the last 3-4 games of the season, discounting the own goal on a bad bounce.

Gardiner doesnt play a quiet middling game. He either helps win it, or he literally loses it for the entire team. There's no in between.

I remember he had a streak leading up to the end of December of about 10 really good games where no sportscaster was shouting his name during the game and he was being praised for just going on about his business without drama. That sorta stopped in January.

jekyll and hyde, lets see who shows up next game.

This does sum up Gardiner pretty well. He has great games and he has absolutely aweful game losing moments.

That said, I think he's improved his amount of horrible decisions per 60 compared to last year. If he keeps getting better, in a few years he may play great most of the time and not make any terrible decisions.

His overall season is eons better than the last 2-3 years, and i dont know if it was Babcock or what, but he's improved a lot than when he had Carly as a coach
