So do the Penguins. I hope they continue for two more games.

Yep, lots of similarities to the Flyers: hack, whack, scrum it up and hit after the whistles, and no tangible results, or Stanley Cups in over 40 years.

Biggest issues for CBJ atm are that Bob has been lousy for 6 games in a row (0-6) and we continue to struggle finding the back of the net. Two very, very large issues lol. If Bob was playing at his best, this would likely be a tied series (imho). I think we played well enough to win game 2, but Bob was awful.

Finding the back of the net has been an issue for a while. Mainly stemming, I think, from how poor the PP has been and at this point I'm not really sure what the answer is.

Cam has been a no-show so far through 2 games and he's a guy that needs to produce. That line, in general, has to find a way to do more than hit somebody.

I feel like the D Corps is mostly playing okay. We're pinching pretty aggressively, which is leading to some odd-man rushes, but that's part of being aggressive. You just need your goalie to make big stops. Vezina quality in the regular season needs to translate to the playoffs or this is what happens.

See what happens when we go home. Win game 3 and I think the complexion of the series changes again. Building should be lit.

"Finishing" your checks are a good way of showing you are a tough bunch, but the real battles that win games are in front of both nets. If you want to win in the playoffs you keep the other team from getting to the front of the net and you win the battles in front of their goaltender.

The Jackets are physical but they are not very good at winning the battles in the areas that you need to if you want to beat good teams.

T-Train and you other Pens fans,

With all due respect look in the mirror before you start dumping trash on someone else's yard.

It is real easy for CBJ fans to complain about the penalty at the end of the second period that led to the 3rd goal. there should have been coincidental minors, especially since it was Crosby who started the whole thing by his illegal hit on Hartnall that started the scrum. But we are not over on your blog whining about it, so please take you bush league attitude somewhere else.

Calvert deserves a suspension for the hits. The difference between the two teams is simply that the CBJ can't put the puck in the net. It certainly isn't that they are bunch of goons and Pittsburgh is as pure as the driven snow.

What trash do we need to see? Sesito is the only trash I see. Other than that our guys don't do dirty plays anymore than the average player does. Your coach is infamous for trying to hurt people. We have one guy that we mostly all hate. Your trash is so bad it's spilling into our yard, so we are going to talk about it.

Meh.....call the cbj a bunch of scumbags whatever the pens harbored some simular characters in the past ( oh how it was beautifull seeing Orpik take out Polak) .

But that's not why I'm posting, the cbj can't score on fleury athe this point Torts should try some shock therapy, insert Korpisalo start getting the guys thinking, and at this point he should stick to Quincey / Nuutivaara, not this nonsense of Harrington or Carlsson, Torts has been pressing the wrong buttons and these guys should calm down and asses their chances

Yeah, I agree. They just don't look composed. In the playoffs, as the Pens have learned, composure is 50% of the battle. Plus, that third pairing is brutal right now. They could get away with it against a lot of teams, but teams like the Pens and Capitals are going to really expose it due to rolling 4 lines that can score.

Matt Cullen just threw a trash slash and got burned. Every team in the league has trash plays, just some are more blatant.
