I know it's kind of a "who cares" tournament, but it would be nice to see Team USA try to win the World Championships every once in a while than make it some sort of U-23 development camp. Their roster compared to Canada's last year was laughable.

Then again, so was the World Cup roster, even considering Team North America.

The 'Trend' is just a stupid myth to justify copy cats. If a fast team wins the cup then 6 or 7 lost franchises think you need to be fast to win. Then 2 years later its a trap team with an amazing goalie that wins it and the Donkeys all try to emulate. The year after that its a team full of coke machines and everyone says you gotta play ' Heavy Hockey'.

All you need is great talent and a great coach and 100% buy in. The team that is the very best at their style and most commited to the system will always do well. Through in a great goalie, some great playmakers and snipers and some solid ALL star Defencemen and you can win with any style.

Reasoning made sense, his season was derailed by that injury & we didn't ever get to see the "real" version of him

2nd pair: McCabe
3rd pair: Bogosian, Gorges, Guhle, (Antipin)
Reserves: Faulk

Murray better pull off a trade for at least 1 top4 defenseman
So let's say we have this...

McCabe-Ristolainen
Antipin-(trade)
Gorges-Bogosian
Faulk
-Guhle starts in minors (most would be pissed if this happens)

So where do u put Kulikov?
Even if we get rid or Gorges or Bogosian...
wouldn't Guhle most likely get that spot?

Only way we fit Kulikov imo,
Is if we move Gorges AND Bogosian...
and that seems very unlikely to me

Honest question: how much worse would this team be if Tim Murray only made the O'Reilly trade and that was it? This assumes that the Sabres still draft Eichel. The asinine notion that the Sabres wouldn't have finished last without the Winnipeg trade need not be factored.
