The backbreakers suck...and they are going to cost him a lot of money. Definitely doesn't take away from the ones he stopped though. - YuenglingJagr
right
Like I said though, LD is just where it comes from...there isn't like one guy that ranks all the dangers based off of seeing the games.
Understood, but it seems like a good proxy for "shots that should be stopped, all else being equal"
Although I just realized that it probably counts as a LD goal against if the shot comes from a LD location but is deflected in-close leaving the goalie handcuffed.

Not enough credit is given to Mason playing behind this god awful defense. I think MAF, Bishop, and Lundqvist would do about the same job at a much higher price. Sad to see Mason walk and for nothing.

His post season media session is starting to make sense. I think he knew Hitch was going to Dallas and that Reese was there. It's a definite plus for him to head there.

Makes zero sense - jmatchett383
as I said on twitter, I never like seeing people lose their job and I hope he finds another job asap but I am fine with moving on from Mullen after 10 years. change things up a bit.
Mullen fired. Lappy and Murphy remains - nastyflyergirl
This is kind of tough to understand.
Doesn't this team feature 2 of the top 5 PPG scorers in the league?
Also....I get the feel that if they are keeping Lappy that they think their PK problems are personnel based, which is what some of you have said several times (PEB, CVV, etc).

Murphy, I have no real opinion on. - johndewar
I am fine with PEB on the PK. i am not fine with him taking the faceoff on the PK. Do we know if Vecchione, if he starts with the Flyers, can kill penalties? he seemed to be good at faceoffs

It makes sense if they bring in a new assistant to oversee all special teams and Lappy's new job is to work with the forwards the way Murphy works with the D. I can't imagine that Hexy or Hak was thrilled with the special teams so I think this is what will happen
