No. no one does. The Sabres wont answer any questions on it because they can't.
Murray made it very clear in the PC it is a legal thing.

Wow. The whole thing is pretty strange and a little scary.

I don't follow the bills but seems like they're not making it next year though? Am I missing something here?

Only if this new Coach is Belichick 2.0 They are a much bigger mess then the Sabres.

I'm a Republican or at least consider myself to be fairly conservative. That one hurt me. For all the boneheaded quotes I've heard this one takes the cake. I watched the video and didn't hear it but apparently he called the concentration camps, "Holocaust Centers". Not a very good look.

Watched Murray's presser, thought it was just okay. Liked some of his answers didn't care for others. Thought there was a lot of softball questions directed his way.

Things I would've asked

"Your NHL team was fifth last in the league your AHL team was bottom of the league and your ECHL team was dead last. How do you explain the depth and growth of this organization and is that a concern for the future of this franchise?"

"It's obvious you've traded for and signed some veteran guys to high cap/long term deals and they haven't worked out. What do you plan to do to try and cleanse the roster of some of the clutter?"

Assad should be thought of as a vicious dictator...but we shoot ourselves in the foot when we simultaneously say things that are that stupid. It enrages me. Probably shouldn't any more.

you mean rather than "anything on Peterson" And they wonder why people hate answering them!

You should replace just about everyone in the room asking questions today.

Buffalo under Murray...
3 drafts

1st round- drafted 3 forwards, ZERO defensemen, traded 2 picks
2nd round- drafted 4 forwards, ONE defenseman, traded 4 picks

So out of a possible 14 picks in the 1st and 2nd since Murray has been here...
he's only used ONE of those picks on a defenseman (Guhle)

No freaking wonder out defense is in rough shape

Hey GMTM...

Things Murray needs to get done this off season

- Sign Antipin
- Trade Girgensons and one of Foligno or Larsson
- Get rid of BADgosian, Gorges, Moulson and Ennis by either trade, expansion or buyout. I'll even accept burying in Rochester
- Offer Lehner a 2-3 year deal MAX at no more than 3 million a year
- Offer Gionta a 1 year 2 million dollar deal and assurances he will get an A but less playing time. Take it or leave it
- Assure Petersen he will be the franchise goalie in ---- ROCHESTER. Next season. And that if he proves his worth the NHL will come calling.
- Do whatever you can to snake a top three transitional defenceman from a team like Minnesota or Anaheim as long as you don't give up one of the few core players of this franchise
- Assign Nylander a world class trainer to work with him at least twice a week so he adds a lot of muscle. Give Reinhart the same thing
- Assign Kane a 24/7 nanny so he doesn't (frank) up again this off season
- Give Pu a very strong look in training camp and maybe even a game or two to see how he does and how far he is from being an NHL'er
- If you don't or even if you do win the lottery trade your pick no matter what for some defensive help. I don't care if it's a weak draft you can definetly get something for it.
- Bring in some no nonsense vets on shorter deals that have RECENT playoff experience (I.E. Last two years) to replace the awful core of vets we are now getting rid of.
- Give Bylsma an ultimatum. Change your system to fit the players and the game of today's NHL or pack your bags.

If we stay picking #6 or better, I still don't see us picking a Dman, but I do see us going defense with both 2nd rounders and both 3rd rounders.

I think it can and will be done. We have assets to give up. Without giving up Eichel, Nylander, Guhle and Pu. I'd also like to keep Reinhart and Asplund but not opposed to get rid of them if the price is right.

Hopefully he's learned & will draft heavy on the defensive side this year
You'd have thought he'd realize this sooner, but this is where we are at

I've said it so much, that I'm beating a dead horse at this point
But GMTM really Fd up the 2nd round of the 2014 draft

Reaching for 2 forwards (Cornel & Karabacek),
when we had just drafted Reinhart, Lemieux, Compher, Hurley, Bailey, Grigorenko, Girgensons, Baptiste & Armia all in current & recent drafts...

And when there were 2 defensemen rated as 1st rounders who had slipped (McKeown & Dougherty), and also Montour were all available...

No excuse for that imo
Just plain STUPID

He ignored defense
It's no coincidence that the ONE good defenseman we have coming is Guhle, the ONE defenseman that he actually drafted in the 2nd round

Meanwhile,
All these teams like Carolina, Minny, Anaheim, etc have all these young up & coming defensemen bc they actually used draft picks on them
Well, duh
Get the f*ck with it Murray!

I'm ok if we "reach" for a defenseman ranked 8th or 12th or even 14th
We need to focus on this position in the draft
And not just this draft, EVERY draft

Young defensemen are WAY more valuable than young forwards
It's so hard to acquire them...
you really have to DRAFT them

At least 50% of our 1sts & 2nds should be spent on defensemen
Probably more like 75% actually
