On a different note. This is the roster I expect for next year.

Lee - JT - Bailey
Beauvillier - Strome - Ho-Sang
Ladd - Barzal - Chimera
Kulemin - Cizikas - Clutterbuck

Leddy - Boychuk
Toews - Pulock
Hickey - Seidenberg(or Mayfield)

I've been to quite a bit of Sound Tigers games this year and I'd be really shocked if Toews didn't make the team right off the bat. He has all the tools and I know he doesn't primarily pair with Pulock in the AHL, but why not here? I do think Hamonic and Nelson will be packaged in a trade primarily for the sake of moving Hamonic because they have to get rid of their logjam at D for the expansion draft. Which leads me to deHaan being exposed. Any analytics GM will draft him.
I know putting Barzal is not ideal right away but you'd want to put him on a line with less responsibilities to start.

If Strome's the 2nd line center we are Phucked!

Beau will be more of a 3rd line 2 way center than Barzal.

Although Garth Snow is the Gm so does it really matter? We are phucked regardless!

Strome ended up being back on track for his average points per 60 min from 2014-15 under Weight this year. Let's see what happens.

Richardson is top 50 all time in pims and was a tough sob, he would be great for the defense

Question, can he coach?

Pretty much. Expect a wild card team and a first round exit next year. There I saved you the frustration of having to watch.

That he was Upstate. They really need someone for the D. It would be one tough staff and they need some really tough players so they do not sleepwalk through games anymore.
- ses111

Just hearing stuff about the team here he was incredibly knowledgeable obviously. Really cool to hear that persective on players. I always avoided asking him stories about that stuff, we treated hime like any other beer leaguer also wasn't a db like some guys

He's considered a good coach and is a top talent. Ottawa didn't want to hire from within after the other two didn't work out so they went their separate ways

He was ?, Initially after the coaching change he came alive, but became his invisible self after that. Give aways, terrible defensive zone play, even Weight realized he can't play center in the NHL, shame Garf Bag doesn't. He had him penciled in as 2nd line center last off season taking over FN minutes
I think the organization should stop hanging any kind of real expectations on Strome as he has totally not lived up to any of his expectations this team was counting on the past 2 seasons.
His problem is in between his ears and thats hard to fix, imho. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am on this one.

Well, it's hard for a player to gain confidence when the previous coach kept on putting him on this line and that line and this line and that line and benching him 4 times. I know as a player you gotta make the most of what you got, but that's way too much to handle from a coach. Weight plays the youngsters, and will utilize him the same way he was utilized in the 2nd half of last year. Just gotta beLIeve.

What's your opinion on David Payne who was just fired from LA as an option for the Isles?

Jimmy, I am done, I was so hoping this would be the year we finally become a respected hockey with a true nHL front office, and not the laughing stock of the league and L and M would listen to the street and fire this dumb, egotistical, bumhole, but alas no, business as usual even with new owners.

I can't see a POHO with any type of respected resume coming here with a GM)and I use that term lightly in reference to Snow)in place, and not being able to pick his own staff.

He should be gone. I believe it's the GM who picks the goalie coach.

If Garth and Weight are returning, I want a new POHO and new goalie coaches and new scouts.

Really not much of a resume far as the NHL, but I guess he has more experience then Snow had before he got his GM job and certainly more experience than Dougie before he became head coach so I guess for the islanders he would be a 100 % improvement as he isn't an on the job training hire

I cannot wait to see the POHO 7. It cannot be anyone with any sort of resume unless they are desperate.

He played a half dozen good games with Weight and reverted back to his old self. I still cannot believe Weight is our coach next season because Tavares likes him. Now I really hope Tavares doesn't sign

He's had 3 or 4 years here as a head coach and although it's the ahl at least he's familiar with it plus he had a 20 year career. He also won the 4 nations cup or whatever it was this winter for Canada.
Edit: spengler cup

Again, compared to the inexperienced people hired and running the Islanders team I think Luke Richardson would be classified as over qualified.
