Doesn't matter, its the tail wagging the dog here. The GM totally failed this team in every aspect this past season starting with the disastrous Ladd, Casey and Clutterbuck signings and watching core FA's walk away and then keeping the coach on way too long, and lets not forget the 3 goalie circus, that he doesn't have the smarts, maturity or balls to admit he made a mistake on.
I don't care if he has a 20 million dollar contract (that L and M s should have known about or approved and if not they are dumber than previous owners) Just the puck ups of this last season are enough to tell me this guy needs to go and the team needs a new direction and fresh start under a proven capable NHL executive.
The funniest thing I read to day is Snow saying Duchene and TJ were his targets, , as they were by every other GM in the nHL you dumb shat! Stevie Y will use you as a pawn and laugh at you behind closed doors Snow.
This team is plucked unless they gat a POHO in place that uses Snow as a piss boy.

Wow....he NEVERRRRRR admits his targets. Thats interesting.

Snow sold the owners on JUST missing the playoffs and throwing Crappy under the bus as the excuse why. They aren't as informed as hopefully the POHO will be to see through his B.S..

He's almost as bad as Milbury.

- Mancalledsting

To me, he's as bad........im not going to say ones better than the other but at least Milbury was told dont spend. That at least makes some sort of sense. Garth spent to the ceiling and still missed.

If they want to protect Pulock then they have to go 8 skaters and 1 goalie route. Unless they trade Hamonic or ask Boychuk to waive his no move clause which is slim unless Snow makes a side deal with McPhee not to take him
- Vukota

They have to protect Pulock. He'd be taken in a heartbeat. Losing him for nothing would be a criminal offense. They should protect Greiss, Hammer, Leddy, Boychuk, Pulock, JT, Ladd, Lee and one of Nelson/Strome. As presently constituted, that list would mean that either one of Nelson/Strome, de Haan, Pelech or Hickey would go.

Cappy was a lousy coach, but I want to hear his reaction if Garth adds Duchene or Johnson when he is no longer the coach.

I think you have to protect Nelson, based on his production alone. Strome, DeHaan, Pelech or Hickey are all easily replaced.

Sorry didn't go back and read comments but I'm thinking you guys aren't happy with this hire. I know it makes Tavares happy.

I want Charlie with Butch next year.

That was rough to watch. All that was missing was the kid picking his nose or eating a hot dog when they cut the camera to him.

I like Weight and think he did a pretty good job but, I'd rather have a more proven coach than Weight. I'm more upset that Garth is staying.

I'm fine with Weight. It's the GM who should have been fired

On a different note. This is the roster I expect for next year.

Lee - JT - Bailey
Beauvillier - Strome - Ho-Sang
Ladd - Barzal - Chimera
Kulemin - Cizikas - Clutterbuck

Leddy - Boychuk
Toews - Pulock
Hickey - Seidenberg(or Mayfield)

I've been to quite a bit of Sound Tigers games this year and I'd be really shocked if Toews didn't make the team right off the bat. He has all the tools and I know he doesn't primarily pair with Pulock in the AHL, but why not here? I do think Hamonic and Nelson will be packaged in a trade primarily for the sake of moving Hamonic because they have to get rid of their logjam at D for the expansion draft. Which leads me to deHaan being exposed. Any analytics GM will draft him.
I know putting Barzal is not ideal right away but you'd want to put him on a line with less responsibilities to start.

OK let's assume you trade harmonic and Nelson, who are you getting and where are they in this lineup? Also where is pelach?

Hope this is not the team. Rather not Bailey be on the 1st line again let alone the team and where is the toughness coming from? Rather not see anymore games like the Philly one.

Couple names to keep an eye on as potential #Isles assistant coaches for Doug Weight: Luke Richardson and Kelly Buchberger.

Even though Bailey had more points/60 5 on 5 than JT on that line. He and Lee both did. Could you imagine now if JT stepped up too on that line?

You can rotate Pelech with Mayfield and Seidenberg too. They're bottom pair D with not-so-high potential to begin with.

Regarding WHO you get yet. Well, that's when I wait until June to really find out the need. Maybe package Halak too. That's the best I can do for now.

Bailey will be on the team. He will probably be on the first line. Unless one of us makes Snow disappear he will be extended for a minimum of 8 years $45 mil.

Richardson is top 50 all time in pims and was a tough sob, he would be great for the defense

That he was Upstate. They really need someone for the D. It would be one tough staff and they need some really tough players so they do not sleepwalk through games anymore.
