Yes, it's pretty hilarious how the same whiners wanting a tank are now upset we have one
On another note, I believe Green has confirmed he won't be back in Utica.

Who's upset about the state of the franchise at this point? They're kinda late...

That one I found really tough, but I went with CBJ on a hunch. I like the complete team game they play and it suits playoff hockey well. Also Bobrovsky, Dubinsky on Crosby, and injury to Letang swayed me in that direction
- WhiteLie

Do people really think Dubinsky is actually going to be a factor? Crosby is playing the best hockey of his life right now, I don't see him yapping with Dubinsky this year around, I really think he wants another one. Goalie Bob will be a bigger factor, but I personally see Pitt crushing Columbus (cmon its torts )

Oh so Green wants to make the Jump to NHL then I'm guessing? Still, I wouldn't hire him as a head coach yet, Willie had no NHL experience and it showed. I wish Paul Maurice got fired -.- I really like him.
- Crazybagoham

Green is going to the NHL one way or another. Perhaps he has reconsidered his stance on taking an assistant position. EIther way, I'd be really surprised if he doesn't get the job. He isn't Willie so I will be happy.

watch them pick another forward that they will inevitably lose

Boggles my mind that they thought they could replace ROR with Soderberg then were baffled at why they sucked

Dubinsky is the only one I have seen that consistently gets under Crosby's skin. Giroux is also good at it, but Torts doesnt roll 4 lines so wont have much of a challenge to get the match up he wants.

CBJ gave them a good run a few years ago, their roster is much better now

Some great comments from Gudranson. He is very happy to be a Canuck and seems really keen to stay here. Also hinted he was injured most of the year and underperformed. I am looking forward to seeing a healthy EG in his contract year. He could be a force

Well it shouldn't reallly be a boggle. ROR wanted a 7m/7yr contract and Avs didn't think he was worth that much and tbh he isn't. Avs did get a solid defenseman and JT Compher with that trade so its not all that bad.

Wayne Simmons was good too, those Philly/Pitt series were insane though !

Sullivan matches lines though, so it will probably be Malkin/Bonino up against Dubinsky.... After losing Ryan Johansen I can see Pitts Centers really matching up well even with Dubinsky. It will be interesting to see how Pittsburgh responds, they are my favourite in the East.

I suppose losing Stastny the year before made it look worse. Terrible organization though, Patrick Roy was smart to get out when he did. Its not Garth Snow level stuff, but they make some dumb moves (like the fact they were even entertaining the thought of trading Duchene/Landeskog) they make trades but create big holes and get worse off, I hate seeing great players like Mackinnon/Duchene/LAndeskog rot there.

If any team is comparable to the last oilers regime, its this Colorado org. Not Vancouver.

I think it will be the best matchup of the first round. A lot of playoff type guys on CBJ in Saad, Jenner, Hartnell, Foligno, against nearly the same roster for the defending champs

Thats right. Signed their 5 key players longterm.
Kane Toews Hossa Keith Seabrook & trade talent for cap reasons.
Not sign everyone under the sun.
UFA's will go to the Hawks before LAK anyday.

- Nighthawk

exactly... and I think the missing link for them was Hossa. That guy was unreal in their first cup win and since...

IMO, he's the guy that stirs the drink. Without his two way game and key moments, I don't think this team gets 3 cups.

A real tank doesn't sign Eriksson to that laughable contract. That's the issue man.

No one can argue it, just accept it. They started multiple years too late.

Plus Coach Q is great.
- SRam19

That guy there is the best Coach in the league... bar none. has been for a few years at least.

should be in charge of Team Canada, but babcock and his swelled ego won't step aside for someone who has more success than him in the last x number of years...

No where in my post did I insinuate that they tried to tank before the start of the year.
