Lots of Junior games tonight. none on tv. WTF. No playoffs, should be playing one.

It's pretty easy to find streams for CHL playoff games

I guess i have an imagination👍

Nothing wrong with it, I'm just including another present niche there.

Kassian and Virtanen are definitely linemaking imaginers

Boston over Ottawa? I think goaltending is a wash, but OTT has a serious advantage on D
- NorthNuck

That was a tough one for me...I want Ottawa to win and you are correct they look better on D. Just a feeling on BOS.

I dont think he plays nearly tough enough for his size. Smooth skating big man, but doesnt have the consistent mean-streak you want
- WhiteLie

He is still very young and learning his role.all he needs is to get pissed off a couple of times at teams running his teammates and respond. He doesn't need a mean streak but a reputation would benefit the whole team.

I think BOS takes that series. OTT goaltending has not been great as of late, and you know Rask has the experience to up his game. I underestimate OTT's players frequently, but I dont think they will have enough depth to beat the Bruins, they are 18-8-1 under Cassidy and playing well

So, let me get this straight, because I find it ridiculous. The last 3 season every "expert" is whining about how the Canucks rebuild isn't starting.... the when we tank, are in a great position to get a top3 pick..... now the "edmonton model" is flawed because we fired our terrible coach? I find this weeks new line of reasoning just stupid.

Willie was going to be fired sooner or later, anyone who says Horvat won't be a top 6 center is a complete idiot.

2 months ago, we wanted the "Edmonton model" and to tank and get higher picks in order to acquire more core players for the future (apparently these players grow on trees). OH THE CANUCKS DONT HAVE A #1D.... well we never have had one? On the Gillis era they couldn't find/draft/trade for a #1D. Name 1 in our range, or that we could have acquired. that's what I thought.

Why is the sky suddenly falling now? I'm even more optimistic because we have a crack at a couple really good players (yeah not Matthews/Mcdavid but we really don't have any control over the quality of this years draft class). NO MORE LIDSTER, I've never hated an assistant coach more in my life. Cheer up folks, the day is brighter. Literally NO idea who the next coach will be, I don't see Travis Green being that successful with this roster right now, I'd let him get comfortable with Utica for a few more years, maybe bring him up as Assistant

Kassian is a good fit in Edmonton, bottom 6, occasionally hits/scores, literally NO expectations. I could see him going on a little streak in the playoffs

Yeah I want them to win as well but hard to bet against experience.

Agreed, Boston seems to be more resilient, can come back from behind in games. Ottawa is a wacky team, Ottawa/Columbus/Minn I see being out in the first round....

Pitt aint going out in the first round, Malkin is supposed to be back in time. Those 3 forward lines are really hard to match up against, and Columbus doesn't have enough defensemen (I can see the younger D being eaten alive)

Oh probs, they have depth on forward and are really going to do some damage. But if Talbot/Larsson go out, they are DONE.

Yes, it's pretty hilarious how the same whiners wanting a tank are now upset we have one
On another note, I believe Green has confirmed he won't be back in Utica.

I dunno about Minnesota, St Louis is good but Minny doesn't really have any weaknesses. St Louis only has taken steps back from last year IMO

Oh so Green wants to make the Jump to NHL then I'm guessing? Still, I wouldn't hire him as a head coach yet, Willie had no NHL experience and it showed. I wish Paul Maurice got fired -.- I really like him.

That one I found really tough, but I went with CBJ on a hunch. I like the complete team game they play and it suits playoff hockey well. Also Bobrovsky, Dubinsky on Crosby, and injury to Letang swayed me in that direction

Yeah I think the Letang injury could help create the perfect storm for CBJ, if they can nullify some of PITs forwards they will be able to expose their Defense and outscore them
