he's that little nerd that speaks weird but is a brilliant scout - SMBDragon
A brilliant scout? That's an overstatement, there's an article that just came out regarding his lack of good history in the first round. He has found quality in the other rounds though. I would hardly call him brilliant.
Better to just assume that they'll pick #5 and that anything higher is gravy - Nucker101
I realize I'm behind. Catching up. we have a 12% chance to win lottery. not good. Even worse than last years odds as Vegas has eaten up a few % pts to be on par with the 3rd best odds. I don't expect a top 3 pick.
ex) COL is at 17.9% to win, as opposed to 20% for TO last year
4 lotteries. Only reason they are relevant is cause the 4th got them a generational talent (or even more than that). Everything else that happened (coaches/gm/ufa's) is because of them landing McJesus. Luck.
Where would T.O. be without Matthews? Not this far along the rebuild. Luck.
Gillis drafted nothing top 6. JB is just starting out. aside from JV (who could still be a very useful player cause of his style) most of his 1sts haven't even hit the NHL. It takes time. - storm88
You missed pinning the tail on that one. Though his drafting was an epic fail he did pick up Bo. You know the kid we are wrapping this franchise around now.
So pinning this on your a$$ now you got the rest right. BB is showing JB can pick in the first round too.

20 bucks says (cause its Vancouver, and our luck.) we drop out of the top 3. As much as I would love being I #1/2/3.... I'm also a realistic Canuck fan who has been poop on far too many times. Don't get your hopes too high until after we hear the order folks. - Crazybagoham
your a fan but you call the twins sisters
? your a pos bs fan

perhaps sometimes it just seems that way due to the canucks draft history
Look at the last few decades of canuck gms drafting, looks like a genius in comparison lol
Next year will be little difference than this year. People screamed for Willies head all year, who do you think is next?
If Trevor PR guy Why TF is he President?
I am honestly looking forward to game 82 next year
You are not rebuilding you are still retooling on the fly. I don't know why people have trouble with the word retool.
A while ago I thought they rebuilt , I was wrong - VANTEL
Team will improve by 10-12 pts max. But I'm banking on another bottom 3 finish. Coach don't matter. If they hire Green its cause they didn't wanna lose him. I suspect WD already knows his next job. Green won't matter next year. Hopefully shows improvement the year after. But it's the personnel. Not the coaching.
It's all about bottom 3 next year. It's what we need. This draft won't be any saviour.

And even if he was a brilliant scout, how does that make him a GM?

Why will it be better?
Sedins will be older
No Hansen
Edler more brainfarts and less interest
No Miller
They could improve but they could also go the other way

It doesn't, I'm not a fan, and I believe if he stays on as GM this whole rebuild is gonna take longer than it should. He has done some positive things though.

But a team with abundance of D, making a trade with a team with a complete lack of D doesn't seem too far out of the realm of possibility. Kane is a UFA after next year as well. I'm not advocating a trade for McDavid.
