Not just us, but Colorado get's screwed on this one.
It's confusing, because the hockey gods are obviously favoring proper tank jobs like Carolina and Arz and punishing Vancouver...but why Colorado?

Our best odds are for pick 4, that's just a statistical fact. there are 3 chances, the earlier in the lotto's colorado wins, the higher our odds get to pick higher.
ie/ if they win #1, weve got 15% chance at 2 and a 16% at 3. The chances of Colorado not winning one of three draws at 20% or more is very unlikely. That's all I'm getting at.

Anyone pounding their chest and saying I was right and you were wrong , give it a rest . There have been plenty of times everyone on here has been wrong about things.

Chompsey is partly right , when you stick around long enough , what you were right about yesterday you will be right about tomorrow.

Kassian is a good fit in Edmonton, bottom 6, occasionally hits/scores, literally NO expectations. I could see him going on a little streak in the playoffs

I agree pretty much. Cannot wait to argue that either lol
- Nighthawk

Yup still see him as best option when they get to pick. My order for what's best for Nucks is revised to this:

Middlestadt
Nolan
Nico
Glass
Vilardi

So if they luck out on lotto and the team below wants another guy a trade would be the smart move. Maybe the asset received either flipped to get another first rounder or combined with other assets. We can speculate what, if any, moves JB will have and can do.

A couple of observations .

Rebuild.) People are calling this a rebuild but we are bringing back Sedins Edler Sutter Gudbrandson and Eriksson. We are still retooling

Spector) He is an idiot but he is not wrong . Currently Canucks don't have a top 3 player. Bo may grow to be one but he is not there yet.

Linden) He said yesterday he has never been more excited to be a part o the Canucks . Botchford pointed out he just fired the coach hours before. Things can't be that great. Stop the BS.

Benning .) This will be Bennings last year. If he signs a skilled experience coach he will be scorned for not bringing in Green . If he brings in Green people will call him a dummy for passing on an experienced coach. A rebuild should have been started 3 years ago but we will begin in a year or two.

Coaching ) No coach will make a diference as long as we bring back the same vets and Benning will be fired and the new GM will get his experienced coach just like Edmonton did.

a. I don't care what we call it. It is what it is, we are rebuilding, but we're not taking a scorched earth policy...yet.

b. I agree completely.

c. TL is a PR guy. That's what he does.

d. If JB hires a coach that is deemed successful and has a homerun in the draft, he'll be safe imo.

e. Sedin's are UFA's at the end of next year. I agree it'll be pivotal how that is handled.

Everyone is moving Patrck right out of the top3 now
think I'll stick with central scouting and laugh when he is destroying.

Apologies for the Green comment, it was nighthawk who wanted him. You want Cooper, right?

I'm for Gallant myself, anyone with experience at this point. no more rookie coaches!

Next year will be little difference than this year. People screamed for Willies head all year, who do you think is next?

If Trevor PR guy Why TF is he President?

I am honestly looking forward to game 82 next year

You are not rebuilding you are still retooling on the fly. I don't know why people have trouble with the word retool.

A while ago I thought they rebuilt , I was wrong

Hard to turn up a 6'5" centre that can skate well, I prefer him over Nico. Nico reminds me of a Drouin type player, no knock on Drouin, but looking back now he's definitely not #2 in that draft.

How hard is Blake going to try to get Vegas to take Brown off their hands?

I wouldn't be surprised if he does it, although i'd love to see them handcuffed with that contract.

It will take a unlikely statistical scenario to drop below 4. That scenario is Colorado not getting 1-3 pick, which is less that. if you run the simulator, that is the number canucks are most likely to get. try for your self http://nhllotterysimulator.com/
