A coach that builds structure into the players. Sounds like TG but not sure it is him if it's first time as head coach. He's going to want to win.
- manvanfan

I think TG has something going for that. He's kept two awful AHL teams competitive the last two years without having anyone to play center.

Not sure what options are going to be any better. Mainly looking at AHL hires and assistants who have probably struck out pretty hard before.

Every coach wants to win. If they don't then they won't get another gig. Plus, its hard to win without having structure.

He got an all star nod this year. He was an even player at 5 on 5. Produced on the PP. 2nd year pro. Not much more for him to do in the AHL.

The team sucks. It hurts in no possible way to give him an opportunity. Shelter the minutes. Gotta figure out if he has anything for you at the NHL level. If he isn't up for a run next year then he's basically a zero asset going into his third year.

A hugging coach is needed.
- Marwood

So looking at what I think are probably the best coaches in the NHL
Joel Quenville
Claude Juilen
Randy Carlyle
Todd McLellan
Bruce Boudreau
Alain Vignaeult
Peter DeBoer
All were former Centers or Defencemen during their playing careers.

Mike Babcock, Guy Boucher it doesn't say what they played.

Quenneville had 10 years of not winning a cup before Chicago.

AV was QMJHL, senators, Montreal, Q, AHL, Vancouver, Rangers. Lost in 2 cup finals and is still only 55.

He even mentioned how Jordan Subban will be great for us and Cole Cassels can shutdown McDavid. And he was dead serious and confident. I didn't want to hit him with a dose of reality because he seemed like a nice guy.

Agree with what you're saying.

Unless you were talking to BB's make a wish prom date's brother I can't find a Nuck fan who doesn't say the players suck, coaching sucks, management sucks and the owner needs to go. Oh wait that was a paying fan. Carry on then.

Oh jeez, I would have too.

The clubs they have to compete with in the next few years when they're on the upswing have their C positions pretty solid. McDavid-Draisaitl-Nugent Hopkins, and Monahan-Backlund-Bennett are what you've gotta beat in a couple years once San Jose and Anaheim are on the downtrend.

Middlestadt Horvat Guadette. I know how it sounds. But let it roll off the tongue a while. Then reset and add another draft pick or two.

I got busy with my woman, now I can't go to sleep for the life of me. Been up for 25 hours. Eating chips, scrolling through netflix.

I feel pretty, I feel pretty.

WD for the last month has reminded me of George Costanza driving around the parking lot with the world series trophy attached to his bumper of his car.

Willie had Dallas on his mind and did everything he could to piss off JB and TL

I never seen a coach happier to leave

- VANTEL

bahahahahahahaha Would have been great to see WD dress up in Babe Ruth's uniform like George did trying to get fired...

So who's at the top of the head coach wish list?
- As_I_See_It

According to the TSN panel last night Blob Mackenzie feels that Travis Green is pretty much a lock.

Looking at the AHL playoff race

Utica has 3 games remaining with 77 points, chasing St-Johns for that final spot who's got 80 points and 2 games remaining.

Talk about tight, hopefully Goldobin gives them a spark...

Edit, Albany has 79 points with 3 to go as well.
