I'll give you Bogosian but Kulikov doesn't count as we don't know how he would have worked out if he was healthy. Those were both aquired via trades actually and neither would fall into the category of ...... there were better/younger players being held back by them.

Look the fact of the matter is ............. we don't have enough good players to actually be good. We'll have more of them next year and then the year after that. All of this focus on the coach is ridiculous to me. Give the dude a complete team to fark up before you crucify him. He's not a miracle worker for Pete's sake.

You go out and court these vets and try to convince them to sign here .......... then you bury them on the bench? You don't do that if you ever plan to get vets to sign here. And who by the way could you really say that about except for Moulson ...... who completely flamed out yet is being paid a ton of dough. The vets that were brought in here for the most part have met or actually exceeeded expectations.

As for this team. Gionta had a decent year all in all, but he still got too much ice time and for some reason Carrier got a ton of ice time, but the other young guys were all stuck on lower lines, or when they did play up it was until the first mistake then he glued them to the bench.

And especially since he's Mr. "You Have to Earn Your Ice Time" plays Matt Moulson the same amount as Eichel for some games late in the season.

Come on .. Gionta exceeded every expectation anyone had. He certainly warranted the time he got ....... because again ........... there isn't any young player ready to take it from him.

Why do we all forget ..... Gionta, Georges and Moulson were all brought in for the tank. We had to get to the salary floor and with them .... we did it. They were not brought in to take this team to the next level. They were stop gaps. Now it's time to replace them in some form or fashion.

Based on some of the comments by Lehner ... I think there is without question a chemistry problem on this team ..... and that's on the players. I think there's a couple who are not buying in and they will be moved this summer.

Secondly .. and Paul H. has alluded to this several times ............ there's a couple of dimwits on this team which could be related to the chemistry issue in fact.
