Guys leave their clubs every year so I don't see that as an issue.

I would have missed a Wednesday playoff game (vs Ott) so from that perspective I'm happy the Leafs play Caps. And as I said yesterday or day before already, I like the Leafs chances vs the Caps.

Time for Komarov-Martin-Boyle to show their playoff game (I hope Martin steps up his game like he did in playoffs for NYI).

Let's hope Andersen, Zaitsev and Polak will be back on Thursday.

Surely teams like Dallas, Colorado, Arizona, New Jersey, Florida, Vancouver could be open to trading a D for a Toronto FW - these teams will want to do something. If there's a fit between a (young) d-man they could offer to Toronto, and a FW going back from Toronto, that would be one option. I think in particular Florida and Dallas could be options there.

And then there's still Anaheim with the apparent need to trade at least one younger d-man to avoid losing him in expansion draft to LV. Leafs probably would have to send a player or combination of players/picks exempt from expansion draft eligibility though (e.g. Kapanen, Hyman, Bracco, Timashov, Soshnikov, Johnson, Lindberg, NIelsen, Dermott etc).

You have to imagine they overweight defense in their drafting and hopefully find some more stability on the back end. Polak has been great lately and without him the team would've been in a lot more trouble. Adding one more year to those tires would make me nervous. Nielson and Dermott are the two guys who may be up next year, correct? Any good defensive free agents you'd be willing to pay?

Chimera, Burakovsky, Winnik, Wilson and Richards were all poop. Johansson had one point in the entire Pens series. This year their depth looks even better, but it only counts if they show up.
