Guys, I'm almost thinking the Caps are the team to play vs. Ottawa.

Caps are very good, no question, but when have the Caps made it past the 2nd round? They have all the pressure in the world, their window is right now, Leafs?

Nobody expected us to even be there, so we'll be loose and could give the Caps all kinds of problems.

Pens are faster, deeper, and have the best player in the world and they clearly know how to win. Caps have to somehow get the playoff monkey off their backs.

If Leafs go out in 1st round the worst pick they can have is 17th.

the location excuse was always a joke to me. people take the freakin go train to see the leafs and jays from 2 hours away. if you like the sport you take the 30-40 minutes to drive there without thinking twice. there's just not a huge sens fan population there. there are probably almost as many habs and leafs fans.

It's so different in AB where CGY and EDM are diehard flames and oil fans.

That's what I mean. The narrative is going to be "poor kids, they'll be steamrolled" but we beat the Caps 4-2, lost 6-5 in the skill competition, and Tuesday's loss was after a tough back-to-back with McBackup in net.

yep, it's been tough for them to win over all the existing fans. parents pass down their fav teams to their kids like a (frank)ing religion too so it's not likely to change soon.

I hope they win a couple but I don't think it's likely. Although nobody expected them to (almost ) beat the Bruins last time. Anything can happen in the playoffs. I just hope they keep the games close
